Last week, Meals on Wheels volunteers, staff, leaders and supporters from every corner of the country gathered in Adelaide for the 2026 Meals on Wheels Australia National Conference.

Over three inspiring days, we explored new ideas, shared practical solutions, challenged our thinking and celebrated what makes Meals on Wheels so much more than a meal delivery service.

From conversations about the future of aged care and volunteering to innovations that strengthen connection and wellbeing, one message echoed throughout the conference: when communities come together, everyone benefits.

Our volunteers deliver so much more than just a nutritious meal. For many of our clients, that friendly knock on the door is the highlight of their day and a vital connection to the community. Whether you’re a driver, a packer, a kitchen or admin assistant, no matter what role you are in, you are the heart and soul of our mission.
