Meals on Wheels Queensland welcomes the announcement of the extension to the CHSP program!

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is an effective way for older Australians to access affordable meals. Beyond good food, the support of our volunteers provides vital social connections and regular welfare checks.

Did you know that the CHSP represents 68% of all meals provided through Meals on Wheels in Queensland?

We look forward to upcoming consultations and the opportunity for growth funding, ensuring our supply can continue to match the growing demand for CHSP services.

We’re looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to join our team in a range of flexible roles:

🚗 Delivery Drivers
💻 Administration Assistants
🍽️ Kitchen Workers

Whether you can help regularly or only have a few hours to spare, your time can make a meaningful difference to people across our community. Volunteering is also a wonderful way to meet new people, build skills and be part of a caring local team.

Join Meals on Wheels Fraser Community as we celebrate 70 years of Meals on Wheels in Queensland and 60 years of serving the Fraser Coast community.

Gosh!! What a day! 🤩
We had an absolute blast on Saturday celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Community Bank Hervey Bay Community Showcase at Seafront Oval.
We are incredibly grateful and deeply humbled by the massive $50,000 grant! This incredible support means the world to us and will make a huge difference to our Clients in our community as it will help towards upgrading one of our delivery vehicles.
We also had a give-away ticket draw and a 'guess how many lollies in jar'. Congratulations to Lyn and Indie for winning those great prizes.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, support, and make the day so unforgettable! 💙🎉
