Exhibiting Poultry Eggs (A Practical Guide)
I wrote this book as I was unable to find a book that explained the basics of exhibiting eggs. I started researching back in 2018 and had lots of help on the way from poultry judges to fellow exhibitors. Thank you to all those that answered and asked questions about eggs, you all helped to create this book. Of those who shared their knowledge of eggs Megg Miller deserves special mention. Her knowledge of eggs is as deep as it is broad and she has been very generous in sharing that not only with me, but with many an exhibitor and club. This year I was finally able to have 100 hardback copies printed. My book launched at the Royal Canberra Poultry Show, announced by Miller OAM. The support I have had from Megg, Kevin Smith, Melissa Bonnitcha, Ross Coe, David Simons has been amazing. The response to the launch of my book has been overwhelming. More than half the copies have already sold in just a couple of days!!!
To all those who have contacted me for a copy, I am getting to you as quickly as I can. If I don't respond immediately, I am busy working at the day job to keep my chooks in food.
If you do want a signed hardback copy of this first edition then message me via Facebook Haeley Reeves. I will respond as quickly as I can. The cost of the book is $85 plus postage of $11 to anywhere in Australia. Included is a bookmark, with yolk colour on one side and shell colour on the other. I also have a limited number of Champion Egg Rosettes to donate to clubs looking to hold egg classes. All I ask is you put the results and pictures up on the page Poultry Eggs.
Thanks
Haeley
