The Global Energy Network Institute (GENI) Foundation was created 6 March 1990 and we became a Trust on 27 November 1997. Our aim is to provide truthful, accurate, independent information and articles to the general public. We are an NGO, non-profit and volunteer organisation conducting

research and education focused on compelling and technologically feasible global energy strategy that addresses the fundamental issues of quality of life. We focus on electricity and its sources. Electricity is the essential infrastructure that enables our modern quality of life. Renewable energy sources offer a transition from polluting fossil fuels to a clean environment and sustainable energy. The GENI Foundation focuses on the interconnection of electric power networks between communities, nations and continents, with an emphasis on tapping abundant renewable energy resources to provide clean energy to people of all nations. This strategy is the highest priority of the World Game simulation developed by Buckminster Fuller. Linking renewable energy between all nations mollifies conflicts, grows economies, and increases the quality of life and health for all. This is an organisation that is totally supported by volunteers, sponsorship via annual memberships or through our fundraising efforts. We are totally funded by the community for the community. We invite you to support us today, by donation, subscribing to our monthly newsletter GENI-us or liking us on our social media platforms. One of our local projects is installing solar panels on pensioners rooftops. The Solar Panels for Pensioners Project (SPPP) is currently underway and we would love your support so we can do more. For all our SPPPs we have completed to date, visit our GENI Foundation Google site on: https://sites.google.com/view/genifoundation/solar-panels-for-pensioners. Better still, for as little as $3 per month, you can support our projects by becoming a patron. Please pledge today through our Patreon site on: https://www.patreon.com/c/genifoundation

Australia's electricity grid is entering a new era where renewable energy is no longer a secondary source, but a major force competing directly with coal. Massive solar farms, expanding wind projects, and millions of rooftop solar systems are transforming the country's energy mix faster than expected.
During peak daylight hours, clean energy can now provide more than 60% of Australia's electricity, while coal generation continues to decline. In some periods, renewable energy shares have even moved above 50%, showing how rapidly the nation's power system is evolving toward lower emissions and cleaner electrcity.

"With the world's most important fossil fuel supply route at a near-standstill, many advocates for wind and solar say the transition to renewable energy is about to shift to a much higher speed.
The United Nations climate chief, Simon Stiell, recently described an 'immense irony' in which leaders who have 'fought to keep the world hooked on fossil fuels are inadvertently supercharging the global renewables boom.'"

To counter those trolls who say China is building coal powerstations, so Australia and other countries can keep on burning fossil fuels.
True they are building some new coal generators (and retiring more of the old ones), but these are now mostly built as back up (like diesel generators) so not creating pollution most of the time.
In contrast, the amount of renewables China is installing is almost off the chart:

Australia has launched what is being described as its largest clean energy project yet, and the sheer scale is enough to turn heads worldwide. Built in Queensland, the development combines enormous solar and wind capacity across a vast landscape, creating a hybrid system designed to generate more stable renewable output.
What makes the projects especially impressive is the engineering logic behind it. Solar power peaks during the brightest hours of the day, while wind can help carry generation during lower-light periods. Together, they smooth out the fluctuations that have long challenged renewable systems.
This is the kind of infrastructure that changes how people think about energy at a national level. It is no longer just about producing clean electricity - it is about proving that renewables can operate at a scale once associated only with traditional power systems.

Germany is exploring innovative uses of solar technology, including solar-integrated fencing systems that combine functionality with energy generation.
These fences incorporate photovoltaic panels, allowing them to produce electricity while serving as property boundaries.
In some cases, they can be cost-competitive with traditional materials when energy savings are considered over time.
Such solutions are particularly useful in urban and agricultural settings, where space efficiency is important.
While not yet widespread, solar fences represent a creative approach to integrating renewable energy into everyday infrastructure.
