A big weekend for our Monash Lions Club.

We raised funds by offering refreshments at the Swara Sadhana school of carnatic music. Thank you to the school for having us there.

On Sunday morning, we got involved in the Lions Green Canopy Environment Project by planting native plants along Gardiner's Creek on National Tree Day. Thank you to Friends of Gardiner's Creek Valley for this opportunity.

Lions International Peace Poster Competition.

Monash Lions Club is supporting St Andrew's Primary School to enter into the international Lions Peace Poster competition.

It was just wonderful to speak with the Grade 5 and 6 students today about this activity. Many thanks to the school's art teacher and Principal for enthusiastically embracing this project.

Look out for further photos over the next few months with pictures of the students' artwork.

A couple of Monash Lions Club members marshalled at Run Melbourne today, braving the 6am freezing morning to be in our position in time before the runners started.

It was inspiring not only to see the fit runners on the track, but also those on manual wheelchairs and people with low vision participating as well as mums/dads running with their babies in prams. All aiming to raise funds for their favourite charities with intent and fun.

It was Melbourne showcasing positivity!

It was lovely to attend our Lions District changeover lunch today, where awards were presented and the new District Governor, Russell Edwards, took over the mantle held by the past District Governor, David Cordell. Looking forward to another good year of work in Lions District 201V5.

Thank you to Keerthana Music School for inviting Monash Lions Club to set up a fundraising tea stall at your music event yesterday.

We are grateful to several parents from the music school who helped our member, Lakshmi, in managing this stall. This helpful spirit sings volumes.
