Caloundra Family History Caloundra Family History is for anyone interested in local and family history and our members’ research interests cover the whole world.

Caloundra Family History has a library of books, journals and exchange magazines, plus microfiche, CD-ROM indexes and maps for research in the rooms. Researchers have access to subscription and other genealogical web sites. We have a program of monthly meetings with guest speaker, on-screen demonstrations, seminars and classes. We also organise bus trips to research venues and repositories. including Qld State Archives, State Library of Qld, and Qld Family History Society, all in Brisbane.

The meeting is from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm at the Caloundra Family History Rooms at Corbould Park, the home of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club.

Archaeologists complete largest mass exhumation in Australian history from old cemetery under The Hutchins School in Hobart, Tasmania.

After workers dug up two skeletons at a Hobart school's hockey field it was believed there would likely be more, with the location being an old graveyard. But the scale of what the archaeological team found was staggering — and the job of putting names to the many bones was "like a giant puzzle".
