On the 18th October we recieved a call for a turtle in Sunbury who was accidentally caught by fishing hook the gentleman quickly called us for rescue we called Werribee zoo who were able to take him. The hook was half way down its neck and was able to be removed, after a week in hospital on antibiotic he/she was able to be released back to Spavin Lake. Hopefully no more fishing hooks.

Thanks again to the gentleman who called us instead of cutting the line and letting it go. And thank you to the wonderful team at WORZ.

Please if you fish and our wildlife gets caught in your fishing hook please give us a call straight away.
