A day out for the whole family in Broadmeadows!

On Saturday, kids got their faces painted, ran around the giant inflatable obstacle course and joined in the activities, while the grown-ups enjoyed live music, African drumming and lots of yummy food. Swipe to see the fun.

Thank you to everyone who came along, and to our performers, food vendors, volunteers and partners for making it such a special day. Thank you also to Project Broadmeadows and Artists for Kids Culture, who brought the festival to life with us.

Local Gamillaroi artist Emma Russell was commissioned to create our Acknowledgement of Country artwork, a piece that now lives at our Broadmeadows site and across our everyday communications.

In this reel, Emma talks about the stories, symbols and meanings woven through her painting, honouring the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land 🖤💛❤️
