Annual Nasho Memorial Service

The Northern Districts sub-branch of the National Servicemen’s Association of Australia held their Annual Memorial Service today at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital.

Our cadets were pleased to rejoin the service after several years and provided a catafalque party and flag party.

The feedback from the Nashos was very positive and they were happy to see the cadets back.

Duke of Ed Bronze Awards

More cadets from 35 ACU are completing their Bronze awards and moving onto the Silver award.

The Officer Commanding had the pleasure of presenting the following cadets with their Bronze certificate and badges which can now be worn on their uniform:

🪙 Cadet of the Company - Ex Emu 26

During the Battalion Commanding Officer’s presentations, a cadet from each company was recognised as the most outstanding cadet who displayed the service values throughout the week.

Cadet Carlton Mamaia (right) was awarded a challenge coin in recognition of being chosen as the most outstanding cadet for B Company during Ex Emu 26.

Ex Emu 26 Complete!

Another iteration of Emu comes to a close.

Cadets achieved many things over the course of the week but missed out on others.

❗️Ex Emu Pick Up *UPDATE*

Hi Parents/Family/Friends

Cadet pick up time is being moved up to 1pm as our bus arrived earlier than scheduled.

If you can’t make it at 1pm, staff will remain with the cadets until the original pick up time.

🎖️ Most Outstanding Cadet in Tier 3

Congratulations to Cadet Corporal Gimash Mudalpath (right) who was awarded a challenge coin by the Commanding Officer of 33 Battalion for being recognised as the most outstanding cadet in Tier 3 on Ex Emu 26.

Tier 3 training is available to cadets aged 16 and above with minimum rank of Cadet Lance Corporal.

Cadets experience patrolling with weapons, navigation and night picquets under the guidance of experienced Army soldiers.

🕺 35s Talent Show Team

Tonight “Broadies Baddies” are looking to win the Battalion talent show!

Here they are rehearsing their act for tonight. The winning team gets a prize from the 33 Battalion Commanding Officer.

Ex Emu Unit Training 🚑

Cadets have started the morning with some first aid scenarios. They’ve practiced basic first aid skills, recording key and relevant information and communicating what has happened over the radio.

🪖Mil Skills Obstacle Course 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️

As part of the Mil Skills day, cadets of 35 broke into 4 sections and tackled the physically demanding obstacle course.

Teamwork was the theme with under rope crawls, tyre drag, ammo box carry and stretcher carry.
