Got an idea for McLaren Vale? 💚

We’re giving away 10 x $1,000 grants to back local projects that bring out the best in our town.

Whether it’s a community activation, a sustainability project, something for local business, a tourism idea, or a youth-led initiative — if it makes McLaren Vale more beautiful, connected or alive, we want to hear it.

Applications close 28 July. Shortlisted ideas get pitched live at our AGM on 21 August — and every MVBTA member gets a vote on the night.

We’re excited that our Winter Business Showcase is coming up, and we’d love for you to join us!

On Wednesday 10 June, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at McLaren Vale Motel & Apartments, some of McLaren Vale’s talented home-based businesses will be showcasing what they have to offer!

Come along to:

• Meet and connect with local business owners
• Browse unique products and services
• Enjoy an arrival drink, nibbles and a relaxed community atmosphere

This will be a wonderful evening to discover the incredible talent within our local business community while making meaningful connections along the way.

🌱 Got an idea to make the Vale better? Plant it and we’ll help it grow.

The McLaren Vale Business & Tourism Association is inviting members to pitch community ideas for a chance to receive up to $1,000 in seed funding.

Whether it’s an event, a collaboration, a local project, or something completely new, if it benefits our community, we want to hear it.

No complicated applications. Just a great idea and a plan to make it happen.

💡 Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present at our Annual General Meeting in August
💚 Members will vote on the night for their favourite ideas across categories including community, business, tourism, sustainability and youth

Celebrating National Volunteer Week ❤

This Volunteer Week, we’d like to shine a light on two very special members of our Committee, Julie and Martin Morgan, a much-loved duo who many across the community would know and adore.

Quite simply, we would be a little lost without them.

Julie and Martin have dedicated more than 25 years of volunteer service to our Association, contributing countless hours, ideas and energy to support McLaren Vale and its community 🌟

Over the years, Julie has held many roles including Secretary, while also helping coordinate our much-loved Mix & Mingle events and working closely with local schools to help bring festive cheer to the Piazza each Christmas 🎄

Martin has played an instrumental role in projects including our partnerships with the Tour Down Under, advocacy and improvements along Main Road, and many other initiatives behind the scenes that help strengthen our region 🚲

Beyond McLaren Vale, the pair share a deep love for music and the arts. If they’re not in town, you might find them enjoying a performance by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, or contributing to groups such as Big Sing McLaren Vale 🎶

More recently, Julie and Martin have been embracing life on the road, travelling and exploring Australia in their campervan, often with their cats in tow, who apparently also enjoy the camping lifestyle! 🐾

A heartfelt thank you to Julie and Martin, and to all of the volunteers who help make our community such a vibrant and connected place 👏🏼

If you ever have the opportunity to spare some time, we encourage you to consider volunteering and helping continue the incredible work of community-minded people like Julie and Martin 💚

Say hello to some of the faces behind our wonderful volunteer committee! 👋🏼

Dayle is one of our newest committee members, who joined the team in 2024.

With a strong background in communications and community engagement, Dayle is passionate about helping protect the magic of McLaren Vale while creating stronger connections across our community ✨

He brings fresh energy, creativity, and a genuine love for the region to the Committee, along with plenty of enthusiasm for supporting local.

Our AGM will be held in August and we welcome committee member nominations! You can also volunteer to help with one-off events or smaller initiatives if that is more your style 💚
