Opening up conversations on death & dying.

Vale James Valentine

Many of you will have heard of the death of James Valentine, a beloved ABC Radio presenter in Sydney.

The news around James’ death has overwhelmingly focused on how open and honest discussions around death and dying can create a sense of peace and calm for those facing a life-limiting illness as well as those left grieving a death.

James engaged in meaningful conversations over the years about death and dying, improving death literacy for thousands of his listeners in NSW and beyond.

PCNSW acknowledge the value and impact of these small but meaningful conversations.

Improving death literacy in our society will continue to need compassionate thought leaders like James who was able to have difficult conversations with family, friends and colleagues and share these openly.

We here at PCNSW have the family, friends and colleagues of James in our thoughts at this difficult time.
