🌧️ Hail, rain and a big thanks! 🧡

A huge shoutout to our mates at Bridgetown State Emergency Service - SES for jumping in to support us after the sky opened up last night and brought a number of requests for assistance.

Your crews stepped up, got stuck in and helped our community when it mattered. 💪

We’re incredibly grateful for the teamwork and support — that’s what being part of the SES family is all about!

Thank you! 🧡👏

Thank you to the instructors and participants who took time away from their weekend to teach/learn such valuable skills in Basic General Rescue. In particular, we thank our Manjimup volunteer who attended and has proved to be an enthusiastic and valuable member of our team.

Before our Bluey became a film star (aka extra) in ‘Mystery Road’ he took a turn as a news media star for Mandurah State Emergency Service - SES. Now we at Manjimup State Emergency Service - SES get to call him our own Water Bomber Reloading, Transport providing, Photographer, Super Star.
In all seriousness, thank you for 30+ years of voluntary service Brian Bluey.

🌿🪚 Keeping skills sharp and qualifications current!
Our dedicated SES members have been getting hands-on with their chainsaw refresher training, ensuring their skills remain current and their qualifications are maintained.

The session was proudly site managed by the resident kangaroo population, supporting our volunteers as they continue to build the capability and confidence needed to respond safely and effectively when the community needs them most.

A big thank you to our SES members for putting in the time to keep their skills up to date, and to the kangaroos for helping make the project happen. 👏 🦘

💪 Prepared. Skilled. Ready to respond.

Pizza first, navigation and radio comms scavenger hunt next! 🍕📻🧭

Our SES crew fuelling up and enjoying some well-earned pizza before putting their navigation and radio communication skills to the test with our mates from Walpole SES. 🚨💪

A great night of teamwork, problem-solving and plenty of laughs along the way!

As the Duty Officer coordinating our local SES response over the long weekend, I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank the incredible volunteers who stepped up to help our community after the recent storms.

While most in our communities were spending time with family and enjoying the long weekend, our volunteers were out answering call-outs, making damaged properties safe, and lending a helping hand to neighbours who needed it most.

One of the things I love most about living in a small community is seeing people come together when times are tough. When the weather turned wild and woolly, our volunteers didn't hesitate. They answered the phone, put on the orange overalls, and got to work helping others.

I am so grateful for every member of our local SES team. Your willingness to give up your own time to support friends, neighbours and complete strangers is something our community should be incredibly proud of.

To those volunteers that made themselves available, put their hands up, but didn't get a run this time, I appreciate you also.

Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and the care you show every time you respond. It is a privilege to coordinate such a committed and selfless group of people.

Our towns are a better place because of volunteers like you.

💛🧡 Thank you, team. 🧡💛
