2026 ASSOCIATION AWARD WINNERS
Last week at our Annual Awards Night, we celebrated some particularly special Association Awards.
We were blown away by the number of nominations received from our members across all four award categories. It’s a wonderful reflection of the truly sensational volunteers, junior members and umpires we have within our association. ❤️💚
The breadth and calibre of nominations certainly made judging more challenging than ever, but we are incredibly proud to recognise some very deserving recipients.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate someone and help us celebrate the amazing people who make our association what it is.

❤️2026 MNA CLUBPERSON - Kelly Waugh
Kelly Waugh embodies everything the Manjimup Netball Association’s Clubperson Award represents. A quiet achiever, Kelly consistently works behind the scenes, putting the needs of the Association ahead of her own. Her positive attitude, calm nature and willingness to help wherever needed make her an invaluable member of our netball community.
Kelly leads through her actions, offering guidance and support to players, coaches, volunteers and committee members. Her fairness, sound judgement and approachable nature have earned her widespread respect.
As a coach, Kelly has dedicated countless hours to developing junior players, building not only their netball skills but also confidence, teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. She has also supported Representative teams as Team Manager and contributed to junior grading and player placement.
This season, Kelly has generously mentored our new Junior Coordinator, sharing her experience and knowledge to support a smooth transition.
Beyond these roles, Kelly regularly volunteers for fundraising, events and canteen duties. Her selfless contribution, integrity and genuine care for others make her a truly deserving Clubperson Award recipient.
❤️MNA U/21 CLUBPERSON - Layne Waugh
Layne Waugh has been an outstanding contributor to Manjimup Netball Association this season, consistently demonstrating positivity, respect, leadership and sportsmanship. Whether playing, umpiring or volunteering, she proudly represents the Association and is a wonderful role model for younger members.
Layne has shown remarkable growth as an umpire, officiating across junior, senior and mixed competitions while mentoring our Green Shirt umpires with patience, kindness and encouragement. Her dedication and hard work were recognised through achieving her National C Badge this season.
As a player, Layne competes with determination and pride, representing Manjimup at representative carnivals, school competitions and South West Netball Football League level, always displaying respect for teammates and opponents.
She also willingly volunteers at Association events, including the NetSetGO Glow Stick Party, and is always ready to lend a hand.
Layne’s commitment, kindness and willingness to support others make her an exceptional ambassador for Manjimup Netball Association and a highly deserving 21 & Under Clubperson Award recipient.
❤️MNA SENIOR UMPIRE OF THE YEAR- Tanya Terrigno
Tanya’s commitment to Manjimup Netball Association extends far beyond the whistle.
As Association President, Tanya dedicates countless hours to ensuring our competition thrives, supporting players, coaches, officials and volunteers while coordinating our weekly NetSetGO program. This year, she took on a completely new challenge by stepping into umpiring herself.
Tanya committed to learning, developing her skills and umpiring across our competitions, all while balancing her responsibilities as President. Her dedication was recognised when she successfully achieved her National C Badge in the same season she began umpiring—an outstanding achievement.
Tanya leads by example, demonstrating that leadership is about being willing to step outside your comfort zone, continue learning and contribute wherever needed. Her encouragement and support of our umpiring program have strengthened the pathway for officials across the Association.
Congratulations to Tanya Terrigno, 2026 Manjimup Netball Association Senior Umpire of the Year. This recognition is thoroughly deserved.
❤️MNA - JUNIOR UMPIRE ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD- LAYNE WAUGH
Layne has had an outstanding season, demonstrating dedication, perseverance and a genuine commitment to developing as an umpire.
A major milestone this season was successfully attaining her National C Badge, recognising the hard work and determination they have invested in their umpiring. Layne has consistently officiated junior and senior matches while balancing her own playing commitments, including representing in the South West Netball Football League and travelling most weekends.
Laye also represented Manjimup Netball Association at the Peel Regional Carnival, confidently taking on the opportunity to officiate outside our local competition and gain valuable experience.
Beyond her own development, Layne person has made a valuable contribution to our Green Shirt program, mentoring beginner umpires with patience, encouragement and support. She welcomes feedback, continually seek to improve and approach every game with professionalism and fairness.
Layne's reliability, work ethic and passion for giving back to netball makes her a wonderful role model and a highly deserving recipient of the 2026 Junior Umpire Encouragement Award.
💚MNA GREEN SHIRT UMPIRE OF THE YEAR- FLORENCE IPSEN
This award recognises Florence as an outstanding Green Shirt umpire who has demonstrated enthusiasm, commitment and a genuine desire to learn throughout the 2026 season.
From the beginning, Florence has embraced every opportunity to develop. Florence actively seeks feedback, asks thoughtful questions and, most importantly, puts advice into practice. It has been wonderful to watch Florence’s confidence, knowledge and ability grow with every game.
One of Florence’s greatest strengths is her ability to self-reflect. Florence is often able to recognise areas for improvement and works hard to make changes, demonstrating maturity and a genuine commitment to learning.
Florence also confidently officiated at our NetSetGO Participation Carnival, applying her developing skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Beyond her umpiring ability, Florence is an absolute pleasure to work with — polite, respectful and eager to learn. Florence’s outstanding improvement throughout her first season makes Florence a very deserving recipient of this award.
❤️MNA JUNIOR UMPIRE OF THE YEAR - TANEISHA PERRELLA
We are incredibly proud to recognise Taneisha for her outstanding commitment, professionalism and leadership within our umpiring program throughout 2026.
As a National C Badged umpire, she has consistently officiated senior matches while balancing her own playing commitments, including travelling most weekends for South West Netball Football League. Despite this, she continues to umpire for our Association each week, demonstrating her genuine passion for netball.
Taneisha has also become an invaluable mentor to our developing umpires. She willingly supports beginner officials, including allowing young umpires to shadow her during matches, providing guidance, encouragement and a positive learning experience.
What stands out most is how Taneisha conducts herself on court. She is confident, composed and approachable, creating a positive environment for players, coaches and fellow umpires. She embraces feedback, continually strives to improve and handles challenging situations with maturity and integrity.
Congratulations, Taneisha Perrella, on being named the 2026 Manjimup Netball Association Junior Umpire of the Year..This recognition is thoroughly deserved.
