Our AGM is tonight!

We are looking for business minded people, with a wide range of skills and backgrounds to join us in continuing to grow the Chamber, bring new and exciting ideas and work together in a team to achieve our goals.

After our hugely successful August Sundowner and information session I am excited to invite you to our September Sundowner and Showcase.

The Southern Forests Food Council, members of the Manjimup Chamber of Commerce, are welcoming us to their Brockman Street premises for a Sundowner. We will have the opportunity to hear directly from the Food Council, ask questions and once again Network with like-minded people.

The Southern Forests Food Council is one of the hugely successful businesses within the region, they represent and are the single point of contact for local producers, aiming to establish the Southern Forests as an internationally recognised food producing region. How fantastic is that!! It is clear that Southern Forests Food Council can see how amazing this region is and is working to put us firmly on the map, I would love to find out how they are doing it, wouldn’t you?

The next ordinary meeting of the Manjimup Shire Council will take place on Thursday 25 July 2019 at 5.30pm.

Tim has to buy tools for his job as a tradie, which means he can claim a deduction on his tax return.

If you’re a builder, plumber, sparkie, mechanic or other kind of tradie, you generally:
👍 Can claim the cost of travel while working, including trips between sites
👍 Can claim the cost of protective clothes you’re required to wear (eg steel-capped boots)
👍 Can claim the work-related portion of your phone expenses if you have to make calls or send texts for work
👎 Can’t claim the cost of driving from home to work, except in limited circumstances
👎 Can’t claim a deduction for plain clothes (eg t-shirt, jeans) even if your boss tells you to wear them.
