Yet, for many children around the world, access to safe, free, and unstructured play is shrinking. That’s why the theme for 2026 is a vital reminder for all of us—families, schools, businesses, and governments—that happy and healthy childhoods are built on play.

You don't have to wait for a special calendar date to unlock the magic, though—every single day is an opportunity to create playful moments, turn everyday routines into brain-building fun, and build bright futures one block at a time! 🌈

What an amazing day it’s been! 🧱✨

Thank you so much to everyone who came to Maitland High School today and helped make Maitland Brickfest A LEGO Fan Event a big success.

Thank you to our wonderful exhibitors for sharing your passion, bringing your fantastic builds, and spending time talking with visitors. The detail and creativity shown across more than 100 tables were truly impressive.

Thank you to all the families, kids, and local LEGO® fans who joined us and brought so much great energy! Seeing everyone’s smiles, the excitement when the Star Wars Characters from the 501st Legion [Hunter Hornet Squad - 501st Legion Southern Cross Garrison] walked by, and all the creativity in the Build Zone is exactly why we love hosting these events.

Most importantly, thanks to your support today, we raised important funds for Maitland Hospital Volunteers Inc. This will help them keep doing great work in our community. ❤️

Now it’s time for us to rest and pack up the bricks. We hope you had a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.

LEGO® has just revealed an absolute showstopper: 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith™!

We know there are a huge number of Tolkien fans across our local LEGO community who have been crossing their fingers for this exact set, and it certainly does not disappoint. The sheer scale and the intricate details packed into the White City look incredible.
