Concert in the Park 2026 Cancellation Announcement

It is with disappointment that we announce the cancellation of Concert in the Park 2026

Following a detailed review of event planning requirements and associated expenses, it became clear that the potential costs of delivering the event could exceed the allocated budget. While every effort was made to explore alternative options, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's event to ensure responsible financial management and the long-term sustainability of future community activities.

We understand this event is a much-loved occasion that brings our community together, and we share in the disappointment of those who were looking forward to attending. We sincerely thank our supporters, volunteers, performers, sponsors and community members for their ongoing understanding and support.

We remain committed to creating opportunities for our community to connect and celebrate, and we look forward to exploring future events that can be delivered in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Save the Date!

We're back in the Park for the 2026 Celtic Concert in the Park! Join us for a day of celebration with music, dance, food and stalls.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Bands from across NSW are confirmed, including Hills District, United Mineworkers, Port Macquarie & Wauchope RSL, Highlanders and Hornsby RSL.

+ PLUS Irish and Highland Dancers and our Brass Band.
+ Quintet Competition hosted by the NSW PBA

Town Crier Stephen Clarke will be the MC.

John is a Life Member, having held various roles as Drum Major, bass drummer and tenor drummer, John has been a highly respected and valued member, his service will be on Friday the 20th March at Fry Brothers Chapel Rutherford at 10:30am.

As we head towards the end of the year, we would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to all who supported the band throughout the year.

We are so proud that we remain an very active band locally and across state, we couldn't do it without the amazing volunteers who always find the time to help.

Join us as we welcome the 2026 City of Maitland Pipes and Drums Band Committee members, elected at our recent AGM.
