Great catching up with Cathy Sullivan from Mount Pleasant Centre to present her with a certificate of appreciation for her support with our Bosses on Buses sleepout.
Cathy was one of our local leaders who slept rough to raise awareness and funds to support homelessness in Mackay. Over $21k was raised to go towards operationalising our Safe Sleep Buses👏🙏

Huge thanks to Graham Waddell and the team at PI Technical Services for generously donating the testing and tagging of power cords across all three of our sleeping buses 👏

It’s this kind of local support that’s helping bring our buses to life—making them safe, compliant, and one step closer to providing secure sleeps for people doing it tough 🙏

The bus is ready, the trials done, the paperwork signed off and now we just need some volunteers to turn this dream into a reality🙏

🌙 Exciting news Mackay!

We will be operating Mackay’s first Safe Sleep Bus, now known as the Chances House Night Bus. 💙🚌

The bus is ready to go... now we need our community to help make it happen!! 🙏🏻

To begin with, the Night Bus will operate on a Friday & Saturday night, providing a safe place to sleep for people experiencing homelessness in Mackay.
To launch this service we’re urgently looking for volunteers to help fill the following shifts:

✨ Evening Crew – Friday & Saturday nights
✨ Morning Crew – Saturday & Sunday mornings
✨ Caretaker (overnight) – Friday & Saturday nights

Every volunteer role plays an important part in helping us provide safety, dignity & support for those doing it tough.
