This September’s a great chance to mix up the way we shop. Second Hand September is all about choosing preloved instead of new, which helps cut down on waste and keeps good clothes (and other bits) out of landfill. It’s a simple way to do something good for the planet without making a big fuss.

And honestly, shopping second hand can be a lot of fun. You never know what treasures you’ll find — maybe a vintage jacket, a quirky lamp, or just a great bargain. Plus, when you buy from op shops, you’re often helping local charities too.

It’s a global challenge launched by Oxfam back in 2019 that asks us to say no to new clothes for a whole month. Instead, we shop pre-loved, swap, upcycle, and rethink fashion. Why? Because fast fashion is one of the biggest contributors to waste, water use & carbon emissions 🌍.

👗 Why join in?
You’ll save money, find one-of-a-kind pieces, and cut down on textile waste. Every second-hand purchase keeps clothes in circulation longer, supports local shops like ours, and pushes us closer to a sustainable, circular fashion future. Small choices, big impact ✨.
