Multitask's vision of "Inclusive communities where people living with a disability can have reach and meaningful lives" has underpinned the provision of a unique, wide ranging group of services, aiming to increase the independence of people with disabilities and supporting them to make informed choices about the way they wish to live their lives. rd and Management Team, Multitask has become recognised as a leader in the provision of support services to people with disabilities in the Northern Rivers Region. Multitask services aim to develop the potential of each individual to have a happy, secure and meaningful life that is both appropriate to each person's needs and goals. Its headquarters in Molesworth Street houses general administration as well as Day Services and Children's Services. Business services operate from South Lismore. Our disability services cover the Lismore, Nimbin, Ballina, Grafton, Tamworth, and Kempsey areas. Over recent years we have expanded the number and style of services on offer. It is our belief that each person is an individual and that the model of service delivery should match the persons own requirements and abilities. We continually look for innovative, effective ways in which we can support people with disabilities to lead active lives.

As a Disability Support Worker with us, you will make a real difference to the lives of people with disabilities by empowering them to connect to our community. Your contribution will ensure that our vital programs have the enthusiasm they need to make a difference to the people we work with. 💐

⏰As a Disability Support Worker, you will be supporting participants in their own home, at day programs, work or school.
Part time and casual roles are available in Lismore, Ballina and surrounds.

Whatever your role, your days will be filled with an interesting variety of responsibilities. 💯

Some duties include:

⭐️Helping participants with daily living and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping or budgeting.
⭐️Facilitating programs to support participants to live independently
⭐️Organising social outings and events such as theme parks, holidays, concerts
⭐️Drive positive change
⭐️Build trust and meaningful relationships
⭐️Promote individual choice, health and well being
⭐️Laugh and have fun!

🌼About you🌼

You will be passionate about empowering people living with a disability to live fulfilling lives. You will be patient, self-motivated and proactive. The role is shift work so you will need to be flexible to work a full range of shifts including sleepovers, active nights and weekends.

You will also:

✅Have experience and/or qualifications in community or disability services
✅Be computer literate
✅Hold a current drivers licence
✅Have a first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
✅Have a current NDIS worker check or willing to obtain one
✅COVID 19 vaccination

☀️ It was a perfect crisp but sunny day to be outside, having fun, doing the things you love.
Seeing our participant out on the field, pursuing his hobbies, growing his skills and just having a ball, is what it's all about.😊

🏈 Every kick, every smile and every achievement is worth celebrating.
Who knows maybe the Rabbitohs might be interested in a new goal kicker, while Latrell Mitchell is out? 😉

🌈 Rainbows, Karaoke Anthems & Pancakes… What. A. Vibe! 🕺

🎤 If you were looking for the party, it was wherever these two were! As they absolutely brought the joyful and wild energy to Rock Chix’s rainbow themed karaoke session, at the Brewhouse Café. 👨‍🎤

Both getting into the wonderfully colourful theme, especially our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man (it’s giving superhero meets runway icon, isn’t it?). 🕷️👑

😍 And check out that giant stack of pancakes on display! Anyone else also feeling inspired (or just hungry) to do “breakfast for dinner” tonight too? 🥞

We reckon days like this are what it’s all about, allowing ourselves to let loose, have fun and not be afraid to be a bit silly together. They do make the best memories after all. 💐

🥁 And a huge thank you to the Brewhouse Café for hosting such a fantastic event. We can’t wait for the next one! 💯

☃️ Cold weather demands more comfort food! ☃️

🍲 Last week it was a hearty homemade soup to keep the chill away. But this week; we needed something a bit sweeter!
So we chose muffins because balance is very important (besides, we can’t be healthy ALL the time).😉

👨‍🍳Our participants rolled up their sleeves, got stuck into the baking and filled the kitchen with the delicious aroma of apple & cinnamon muffins. 🧁 And oat & bran muffins that were made in the pie maker!

❗️Spoiler Alert❗️ The house smelt AMAZING.😍

🤳 We managed to grab a photo of the lot before they could somehow go missing… one taste test after another (can never have too many!).😅

It’s fantastic to see everyone making the most of these chilly winter days and finding new ways to get creative and make some fun new memories together. ☺️

🧑‍🍳We came. We chopped. We stirred. We conquered!💯

Our participants had a fantastic time at this week's cooking class, where they made a hearty chicken and sweet corn soup from scratch. 🥰 Perfect warm and cosy comfort food for these chilly days we’ve been having.

👩‍🍳 Great teamwork and lots of laughter, while channelling their inner Gordon Ramsay (just, you know, the more friendly PG version).😉

🍲There were lots of quality assurance taste tests along the way too (it’s a tough gig but someone’s got to do it).

Empty bowls, happy faces and a recipe we'll definitely be making again.🥣

✨This grime never stood a chance!✨

🔫 Armed with a high pressure cleaner, one of our participants decided to tackle the pavement.

Blasting away dirt, grime and any sneaky slip hazards that thought they could stick around and cause a scene. 💦

🌟Not only did he leave the footpath looking fresh but he also showed off his creative flare; by pressure cleaning a brick pattern into the pavement. 💐
Who knew pavements could have a glow up?👀

👍 Awesome work and a job to be proud of!

💪 We love seeing participants build skills and take pride in their homes, while having a laugh along the way.☺️
