The Charitable Fund was established in 2011 by Father Atanasio Gonelli, six months before he died. The aims of the Charitable Fund are to continue Father Atanasio's 61 years of pastoral work in helping the elderly, the young, the infirm, the needy and the less fortunate members of the community. The Charitable Fund also provides 5 annual scholarships to "Young Leaders of the Future", aged between

18 & 30. The scholarships are provided in the following categories: 1. business, finance & media . 3. community services & aged care. 4. all sectors of sport. 5. religious studies.
