🚨🚨 Call Out - Medical Access 🚨🚨

Crews were activated just before midnight last night to assist NSW Ambulance & the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter with a patient retrieval from the Leeton Showgrounds.
No further details are available at this time.

🚨🚨 Call Out - MVC 🚨🚨
At 0908 this morning, the Leeton VRA Rescue Unit was responded to a single vehicle rollover in the vicinity of Gogeldrie.
The sole occupant was able to self extricate before crews arrived on scene and was assessed with no signs of injury or harm.
Thanks to our friends from Yanco/Wamoon Rural Fire Brigade & Whitton RFS for your attendance and rendering the vehicle safe.... although a little worse for wear ....

Congrats to our friends 'across the Sturt' for reaching this fantastic milestone.
The Coly squad was formed a couple of years after Leeton with the same ethos to protect and serve the community!
We are proud to still work side by side with our colleagues from Coly at incidents across the Region and thank them for their ongoing support!

🚨🚨 Call Out - Motor Vehicle Crash
At about 3.30pm this afternoon, Rescue crews were responded to an MVC on Irrigation Way near Wamoon... reports suggested that a vehicle had rolled and that occupants were trapped. Rescue operators quickly stabilised the vehicle and applied SRS restraints so the extrication could begin...
Access was gained by using our 'Jaws of Life' and both patients were extricated within 10 mins of our arrival.
Thanks to our friends Murrumbidgee Police District (Leeton), NSW Ambulance and Yanco/Wamoon Rural Fire Brigade & the Fivebough-Stony Pt RFS for their assistance at the scene....

A fantastic night was had with the acknowledgement of our worthy award recipients.
Commissioners Citations, Long Service Awards and NSW Government flood citations were presented to the Leeton & Narrandera VRA Rescue Squad members in recognition of their invaluable service to the community in times of need...
Thanks once again to the fantastic team at the Hydro Hotel - Leeton that made us feel at home with wonderful catering and service.
Also a big thanks to Leeton Shire Council Mayor Cr George N Carol Weston (and of course Carol) for attending and assisting with the presentations.
It was great to have VRA Rescue NSW Commissioner, Brenton Charlton , Manager People & Corp Services Kasey Maguire & South ROM Tarryn Slot in our patch for a couple of days!

Another great initiative with a collaborative approach by the essential services in remote areas.
Whilst you hope you may never need this service out in the remote areas of the state, it's a great back up for road crews who sometimes can be hours away......
Well done to all involved!
It makes us proud to know that our organisation is expanding its' capability by providing this service with our ES partners - and for of course backing our volunteers to deliver this trial during times of need in remote NSW.

Well done to our friends from the Riverina Roadrunners for once again creating a fantastic sceptical at the Leeton Shire Council Australian Art Deco Festival....
Happy to report no injuries were endured in the spectacular roll over involving 'Shaz' & the 'Road Link' Rocket in the derby final!!

Whilst most people bunkered down in cosy homes with a hot chocolate last Wednesday night, our crew were out harnessing their wet weather skills and training in the rain.....
A makeshift shelter, thick socks and raincoats were the best tools as our trainees were put through their paces with a Road Crash Rescue scenario involving a mini van and a tree....
Well done to all of our crew that 'trained as we play' , not knowing what conditions you may face at the next job.....
