Congratulations to the owners of the Coolamon Hotel and GPG Architecture who have just won the President's Prize in the National Trust [NSW] 2026 Heritage Awards - for the restoration of this beautiful old building. Just wish they would fix the opening date - it was 1883 not 1880.
This was the 2nd major prize, with the project having already won the MBA Riverina Murray Region 2026 Excellence In Building Awards in the following categories: Restoration of an Historic Building; Outdoor Landscaping; and Interior and Shop Front.

We remember in many ways.

Since 1952, the ANZAC Field of Remembrance has given families a place to lay their tributes ahead of ANZAC Day.

It began with war widows who wanted to honour their loved one. They wanted to write their name. To mark their life. To remember, together.

Today, that tradition continues with widows and families at the centre. Each tribute represents a person who was loved, and the family who still miss them.

Who will you remember?

Remember your loved one or give thanks this ANZAC Day. There are three ways to take part:

1. Lay a tribute in the Virtual Field of Remembrance
2. Attend the Sydney service or watch the livestream
3. Attend a regional gathering
