🌟 Employee of the Month: Sara 🌟

Sara started her Fruit2Work journey behind the wheel as a driver. Since then, she's shown that she can't be put in a box.

From stepping into Customer Service and helping keep things running smoothly when the team needed her most, to becoming one of the friendly voices our customers know and trust, Sara has built a reputation for genuine care, connection and resilience.

Known around Fruit2Work as our resident Pasta Masta and interior design enthusiast, Sara brings plenty of personality to the workplace. But it's her commitment to building relationships, supporting customers and embracing every opportunity that truly sets her apart.

Perhaps most importantly, Sara's achievements over the past year haven't just been at work. She's worked hard to rebuild important family relationships and create positive change in her life, one step at a time.

Congratulations, Sara, on being named Employee of the Month. You've accomplished so much in just one year, and we're incredibly proud to be part of your journey.

🏆 We're incredibly grateful and proud to share that Fruit2Work was awarded the Wyndham Business Awards 2026 "Business Excellence in Social Impact" Award on Friday night.

To be recognised in this way is a real honour, especially among so many outstanding businesses and organisations making a difference in our community.

This award reflects the people who make Fruit2Work what it is, and those who embrace the opportunities it creates. From our drivers, warehouse and operations teams through to customer service, employment support and leadership, it also belongs to every person who has stepped forward, backed themselves, and made the most of the opportunities available to them.

We were also thrilled to be named a finalist in the "Business of the Year" category. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners. The calibre of businesses recognised on the night was exceptional, and we're grateful to have been included among them.

As we celebrate our 10th year, this award recognises something bigger than Fruit2Work alone. It reflects the growing number of businesses that are choosing to align their purchasing power with positive social outcomes. Together, we're showing that everyday business decisions can create meaningful opportunities for people and stronger communities.

A sincere thank you to Wyndham City Council, Victoria University, Melbourne Australia and the judging panel for this honour, and to our customers, partners, supporters and team for being part of the journey.

Our customers are our supporters, so we like to celebrate them.

We talk about the impact we're dedicated to creating and how we do it BUT we couldn't do it without the incredible businesses and people that support us by being our customers.

You can tell a business' commitment to giving back to the community in the little commitments they make and our supporters have done the simple thing of outsourcing one of their everyday 'little things' to a social enterprise where that choice makes a massive impact.

We talk a lot about the incredible impact we make at Fruit2Work by creating pathways to employment for people coming out of the justice system but this post is about how you can make an impact yourself!

We're a Social Enterprise which means we exist to give back to the community BUT we can't do it alone, we're a business and we sell products. Without customers we don't get very far! So scroll through to see the ways that you can make an impact by supporting our business.

Fruit2Work does more than fruit! We offer corporate volunteering days, pantry items, vending machines, hampers and milk as well!

A lot of these things you or your office already buy for a similar price, but, if you outsource it to us not only do you not have to worry about placing an order every week, you also get to be a part of the impact we create.

On Monday 26 October, we’ll be part of the WISE Corner at the 2026 Victorian Social Enterprise Showcase. The Showcase is an expo-style event, open from 10am to 1pm. Drop in at a time that suits you, whether for a quick lunch break visit or a longer browse. Come along and connect with us.

Hosted by SENVIC in partnership with the City of Melbourne, the Showcase will bring together social enterprises, corporates, councils, government, funders, buyers and community organisations at Melbourne Town Hall for a morning of discovery, connection and collaboration.

As a work integration social enterprise (WISE), 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁2𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 supplies workplaces with fresh fruit, milk, pantry essentials and vending services while creating employment and training opportunities for people impacted by the justice system. Through our day-to-day operations, we provide meaningful work, practical skills and support, helping people build brighter futures while delivering great service to our customers.

Individual tickets are $25 and include $25 credit to spend at the stalls.

Fruit2Work is a certified social enterprise and registered charity. We deliver fresh fruit, milk and pantry essentials to workplaces across Australia. More importantly we employ people coming out of the justice system to do it.

We've transitioned over 200 people back into their communities. Over 1,000 businesses trust us with their office supplies. Every box that goes out is a day of paid work for someone rebuilding their life.

🏆 Employee of the Month Victoria: Nam 🏆

Some people make a lot of noise about how good they are. Nam just quietly gets things done.

Since joining Fruit2Work, he's become the person everyone turns to. He mastered the customer service inbox from day one, stepped into fleet control, ran customer service when needed, then moved into IT where he's helped build our website, develop our in-house AI, and become our go-to systems expert.

Along the way, he fixed most of our email issues and introduced us all to the new Outlook... a decision we're still debating. Strangely, any email outages always seem to line up with his gym sessions.

What really sets Nam apart is his work ethic. He's here early every day, gets on with the job without fuss, and consistently goes above and beyond for the team.

Congratulations, Nam, on being our Employee of the Month. A quiet achiever and a well-deserved winner. 👏🍊
