Our November market is all about celebrating the farming community that means so much to our region.

Farming is more than a job — it’s a way of life, and we want to take a moment to recognise the people, families and communities behind it. 💚

Join us on Saturday 28 November for an evening of local stalls, community connection and a special focus on farmers’ mental health and wellbeing.

Whether you’re on the land, support the farming industry or simply love a great local market, there’s a place for you here!

💚 A little reminder from the KCLC Giving Place 💚

Our community is amazing! Thank you to everyone who generously donates to help others. We know times are tough for many in our community, which makes your generosity all the more appreciated.

To help us make the most of your donations, here’s what goes where:

🥫 The Giving Place is for non-perishable food items and fresh produce.
📚 The book swap cupboard is for swapping small quantities of books. Any extra books can be brought into reception.

Clothing and all other donations need to be brought to KCLC reception during business hours so our team can check, sort and clean items before making them available to the community. Donations should be clean, usable and in good condition.

Items left outside, as pictured, can become wet and soiled, meaning donations that could have helped someone have to be disposed of. Broken or unusable items also create extra work and disposal costs for KCLC.

Keeping the Giving Place for food and the book swap, and bringing everything else to reception, helps keep this shared space welcoming and accessible for everyone.

That’s how community grows.

Not always through grand gestures, but through ordinary people doing thoughtful things.

With many vehicles being stolen across Victoria this nifty tool can help us all gain the information we need to know if a vehicle has been stolen.

You can now use Victoria Police’s new stolen vehicle check tool to see if a suspicious vehicle has been reported stolen.

Enter the registration, make or model.

Some of our most popular KCLC team members have very long ears.

Meet Daisy and Marigold! 🐰🐰

They don’t answer phones.
They don’t attend meetings.
And their contribution to paperwork is questionable.

But they are VERY good at making people smile.

Our rabbits are part of our Early Learning environment, helping children practise gentleness, patience, responsibility and care.

They also bring joy to visitors of all ages.

Sometimes the smallest members of our community make the biggest impression.

Your empty drink containers have a secret superpower.

They can help support local community groups!

At the KCLC Container Deposit Scheme, every eligible container is worth 10 cents.

That means:

10 containers = $1
100 containers = $10
1,000 containers = $100

And when a whole community gets involved?

Those little amounts start making a BIG difference.

So before you throw that bottle away this weekend, think about where those 10 cents could go.

Every Thursday, our community meal brings people together around a table. There are conversations, laughter, friendships and sometimes a little friendly disagreement.
