ReStore is the social enterprise of Habitat for Humanity Victoria. Habitat for Humanity builds decent, affordable homes for Victorian families living in housing stress. We provide a 'hand up, not a hand out', partnering with families and communities to empower others through home ownership. ReStore is a fundraising venture that sells a wide range of donated goods, both new and used. Our stock includes end of the line product, slow moving or unwanted items, furniture, building supplies, home renovation items, tools, books, clothing and more. We accept items from office renovations and fit-outs that are recycled and sold through ReStore. Our two Victorian locations are situated in Kilsyth South and Rosebud. Kilysth South:

Thank you to Northern Trust for generously volunteering at two locations and making double the difference! The first team painted the ceilings at an apartment from Hope Network while the second team gave the foyer at Community Housing Ltd a makeover with Dulux Australia paint. Both homes are now warm and welcoming spaces where residents can build their lives and futures.

A fresh coat of paint brings a fresh start. Thank you to Allegion for putting the finishing touches together on an apartment for Hope Network. By completing the bedroom and walls, the team helped create a welcoming space the resident can now call home as she steps into a new chapter of life. Hearing her story firsthand is an important reminder that our actions bring hope and change lives.

The 50th anniversary celebrations continue to roll on and this time in the comfortable surrounds of . We shared cake and celebrated our ReStore and community volunteers. These people have invested in Habitat many years - helping to shape it into what it is today. We are immensely grateful for their support.

Most importantly, it was a great to be able to share this celebration with partner families who shared about what their Habitat home means to them. Our CEO, Justin Simpson, also shared about Habitat's vision for the next 50 years of building and transforming homes.

We invite you to join us on the journey.

On 14 October, Habitat teams across Australia came together to celebrate 50 years of building homes, community and hope. In Victoria, we marked this milestone by working side by side with community volunteers, partner families and our generous corporate partners. We also teamed up with Blockheads, our Habitat ambassadors who brought their can-do attitude to the day.

Together, we got hands-on fixing walls, decks, bathrooms and also completely transforming several garden beds. It was a mammoth day followed by a fantastic celebratory afternoon tea where our Vic Board Chair, Maurice Benington cut and shared the amazing anniversary
cake. And thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Australia we had a delicious BBQ as well!

Behind every milestone are the people who make it possible. So, to all the supporters who made the day possible, thank you for celebrating 50 years of building homes, communities and hope. Watch this space for what’s next!
