Knox Gives

Knox Gives In 2019 the administration of the Fund moved from Knox Council to Knox Infolink, an established emergency relief agency in the City of Knox.

The Knox Community Welfare Fund ‘Knox Gives’ relies on generous contributions from businesses & individuals who are passionate about assisting those in the
Knox Community experiencing hardship, isolation & social disadvantage. Forty years ago influential and passionate Knox City Councillor Marie Wallace founded the Knox Community Welfare Fund to support local programs that assist people facing ha

rd times in the City of Knox. Funded by two local op-shop, the fund aimed to reach those who are vulnerable, isolated, homeless or struggling financially through the provision of community meals, school student supplies & emergency relief. The aim of this transfer was to grow and sustain the fund through the support of local businesses and the community. What makes the fund unique is the commitment to the residents of Knox. Larger welfare organisations do provide services in Knox, however the funds they raise can be shared & used across Melbourne, Victoria & in some cases Australia. Donations to the Knox Community Welfare Fund stay in Knox for the direct benefit of our local residents by local community organisations.
