Kensington Stockyard Food Garden Kensington Stockyard Food Garden is a welcoming and safe place for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect, with shared managed plots.

The whole garden is accessible to all those living in Kensington, and aims to grow a community - not just food.

The garden nursery is open every Sunday between 9.30-11am for sales. We have a large variety of plants to choose from. All proceeds are used to buy supplies needed for the garden. 🌿🪴🌸

Our autumn garden is very productive: tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, okra, eggplant, beans, rhubarb, pepino, potato, basil, squash, oregano, corn lemon balm, rocket, silver beet, kale, spinach, apples, figs, berries.
We have started our winter seeds in the greenhouse: brassicas, fennel, lettuce and asian greens.

Our garden has received a generous donation of SoilFood, a balanced soil conditioner made from recovered organic material. 50g (handful) into each food cube.
