Sizzling for Siem Reap
A successful Bunnings BBQ raised $1,300 over the weekend, with money going towards our Empowering through Education project, based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The club is currently sponsoring an amazing young person at university through the Cambodian Student Rural Trust. https://www.cambodiaruralstudentstrust.org/

Stay tuned for our next volunteer trip scheduled for early 2027. P.S. You don't need to be a Rotarian to join us!

Celebrating young and old! The Rotary Club of Ivanhoe and the Rotary Club of Preston are proud sponsors of a pilot intergenerational program between one of our community kinders and a residential aged care facility.

The program participants, aged between three years and 100 years, enjoyed weekly activities such as reading, art, and games.
The children also learnt about 'old' technologies such as dial phones and typewriters! Program consultant Gina visited Ivanhoe to report on the successful pilot, which has led to an ongoing program between the two organisations, as well as friendships.

Planting rare Black Gum Trees
A hardy crew of Ivanhoe Rotarians braved the elements in Woodend to plant over 60 native trees, including the threatened Black Gum. In Victoria, this tree is only found around the waterways of the Macedon Ranges.

The tree planting is part of a revegetation program supported by the NFP Threatened Species Conservancy based at Phillip Island. Read more about the Black Gum project: https://www.tsconservancy.org/our-projects-blackgum
