Last night Kirsty Amos (SASPA Chief Executive) attended the Australian Council for Educational Leadership (ACEL) South Australia Awards Ceremony and it was a wonderful celebration of educational leadership and the impact that outstanding leaders have on students, staff, schools and communities.
It was particularly pleasing to see South Australian public education leaders recognised among this yearβs recipients.
Congratulations to the ACEL Fellowship recipients:
π Dr Michelle Kohler, Principal, School of Languages
π Anna Mirasgentis, Principal, Woodville High School
ACEL Fellowships recognise leaders who have made significant contributions to educational leadership and influenced practice beyond their own sites through service to the profession and educational community.
Congratulations also to the ACEL Leadership Award recipients:
π Roy Page, Principal, Norwood International High School
π Rebecca Huddy, Principal, Westport Primary School
The ACEL Leadership Award recognises educators who have demonstrated excellence in leading initiatives, research or policy that improves outcomes for students and colleagues.
A special congratulations to Anna and the talented Woodville High School jazz ensemble, whose performance added something truly special to the evening.
Recognition such as this highlights the depth of leadership expertise across South Australian public education and the difference it makes in the lives of young people every day.
Congratulations to all award recipients and nominees.
