SBNG holds its popular business networking meetings three times a month at convenient Central Coast locations.

The meetings are relaxed, with the focus being on fostering relationships among business people. Commencing in 2007, SBNG is one of the longest running business networking groups on the Central Coast. With a focus on building strong business relationships in a friendly environment, SBNG stands out as a premier business networking group. Our members come together to share business information and support each another. There are no referral quotas as referrals are earned through relationships of trust. This trust develops as a result of regular attendance of the meetings. Whether you are a business startup or a business owner new to the Central Coast, SBNG is a great place to get to know other business owners who are sure to become friends.

What an amazing turnout at our SBNG Annual General Meeting and 2027 Brainstorming Session! 🙌

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful 2025–2026 Committee for their dedication, hard work and commitment to making SBNG such a fantastic community for local business owners. Your time, energy and contributions have been truly appreciated! 👏

We’d also like to extend a very warm WELCOME to our newly elected volunteer Committee for 2027! 🎉 We’re excited to see what the year ahead brings and look forward to another fantastic chapter for SBNG!

A wonderful morning of fresh air, community spirit and connection, all while supporting the importance of health and wellbeing! 💙

A huge shoutout to Lillian Gowers, Rory Gowers and Irdzra Khairuddin-Bennett for getting involved and proudly representing SBNG at this fantastic community event!

It’s always great to see our members getting out and about, supporting local initiatives and making a positive difference in our community.

🎤 Thank You for Speaking Up for Your Business!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Speak Up for Your Business workshop, and especially to our fantastic facilitator, Nicola Davies-Cooke. 💙

It was a great session focused on building the confidence to talk about what we do, who we help and why our businesses matter.

From uncovering the story behind our businesses to refining how we communicate our value, the workshop gave everyone the opportunity to think, write, practise and strengthen the way they introduce themselves and their business.

A huge thank you to Nicola for creating such a supportive and encouraging environment, and to everyone who came along ready to participate, share and give it a go. 🙌

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our latest SBNG meeting and contributed to such a thoughtful and meaningful conversation around legacy.

A special thank you to LegalWise Solutions and Your Story for sharing their knowledge and exploring two important sides of the conversation: protecting what you’ve built and preserving the story behind it. ⚖️📖

It was a great reminder that legacy is about so much more than assets and paperwork. It’s also about the values we live by, the lessons we’ve learned, the relationships we’ve built and the stories we leave behind.

Thank you as always to our SBNG members and guests for bringing such great energy, conversation and connection to the room. 🤝💛

Build the confidence to talk about what you do and why it matters.

You know your business inside and out, but when someone asks, “So, what do you do?” does your answer always come out the way you hoped? 😅

Maybe you say too much, play down what you do, struggle to explain your value, or think of the perfect response five minutes later.

For many small business owners, talking about ourselves doesn’t come naturally. But if we can’t confidently explain what we do and why it matters, it can be difficult for others to understand our value, remember us, or recommend us when the right opportunity comes along.

✨ Thank You for Another Fantastic Member Spotlight! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our latest SBNG Member Spotlight, and especially to our three wonderful presenters for giving us a glimpse beyond the business card. 🤝💙

⛵ David Kent shared the incredible story behind The Promise Kept, taking us on a sailing journey that is now being brought to life as a documentary.

🏡 Alana Jones from Modern Property Buyers gave us an insightful look at what’s happening in the property market, drawing on her years of investing, renovating and developing to share some valuable tips on how to buy better.

🎤 Nicola Davies-Cooke from Confidence Within Coaching reminded us just how important confidence can be when it comes to standing up, speaking out and presenting in front of others. Whether it’s a presentation, networking event or simply talking about your business, having the confidence to communicate your message can make all the difference!

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on three SBNG members, each with around 10 minutes to share something a little different.

⛵ David Kent takes us beyond business with The Promise Kept, sharing the story behind a sailing journey that is now being brought to life as a documentary.

🏡 Alana Jones from Modern Property Buyers dives into one of Australia’s favourite topics with What’s Happening in the Property Market and How to Buy Better. Drawing on 10 years of investing, renovating and developing, Alana will share insights into the current property market along with practical tips to help buyers make smarter decisions.

🙏 Thank you, Ashok!

A big thank you to Ashok Alexander from Reclaim Self for joining us at SBNG and sharing his presentation, Survive to Thrive in the Current Economy. 💡

Ashok gave us plenty to think about when it comes to how we respond to pressure, stress and challenging business conditions, reminding us that sometimes the answer isn’t having more resources, but becoming more resourceful with what we already have.

Through the Above/Below the Line model, mindset, somatic awareness and breathwork, Ashok shared practical techniques we can use to become more aware of our reactions, make more considered choices and approach challenges with a clearer mindset. 🧠✨

Thank you again, Ashok, for sharing your knowledge, experience and practical tools with the SBNG community. It was a valuable and thought-provoking session!
