Wrapping up the week with a little snapshot from one of our Occupational Therapy sessions. 💙

It's been another busy week supporting participants across the community, working towards goals that matter to them and celebrating progress along the way.

Every session is different, but what stays the same is our commitment to providing personalised, practical support that helps people build confidence, develop skills, and participate more fully in everyday life.

Thanks to our participants, families, and team for another great week.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! ☀️

Every step tells a story. 💙

Something as simple as using the stairs can feel overwhelming when mobility, balance, or confidence become a challenge.

That's why we celebrate the little wins. 🌿

The ability to move around safely at home, maintain independence, and keep doing the things that matter most can make a world of difference.

We're proud to support people in building confidence, one step at a time.

Because it's never just about the stairs, it's about staying independent in the place you call home.

📩 Need support to stay safe and independent at home? Send us a message, we're here to help.

When people hear "Positive Behaviour Support," they often think it's only about reducing challenging behaviours.

But PBS is about so much more.

It's about understanding why behaviours happen, identifying unmet needs, building skills, and creating supportive environments that help people thrive.

Because every behaviour is a form of communication, and every person deserves to be understood.

If you or someone you support could benefit from Positive Behaviour Support, send us a message to learn how we can help.

Whether it's meeting families, collaborating with providers, or sharing knowledge with others in the community, every conversation has the potential to make a difference.

At Living Strength Care, we're grateful for opportunities to connect with people who share the same goal - helping individuals live more independently and confidently.

Because strong communities are built through meaningful relationships.

June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month 💜

Alzheimer's disease is more than memory loss. It can affect a person's ability to communicate, complete everyday tasks, navigate familiar environments, and maintain their independence.

For individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, early support and the right care team can make a meaningful difference in maintaining quality of life and participation in daily activities.

Allied health professionals play an important role in supporting people to remain safe, engaged, and independent for as long as possible through strategies that may include environmental modifications, routine development, cognitive support, falls prevention, and caregiver education.

This Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, let's continue to build awareness, encourage understanding, and support individuals and families navigating the challenges of dementia.

💙 Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at every stage of their journey.

Behind every connection is a story.

One of the things we love most about what we do is meeting people who genuinely care about making a positive difference in the lives of others.

The conversations may be brief, but the ideas, inspiration, and connections often stay with us long after.

It's a reminder that community isn't built overnight. It's built through people coming together, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and working towards something bigger than themselves.

We're grateful to be part of a community that believes in helping people live stronger, more independent lives. 💙

Falls are just a normal part of getting older? NO, they're not.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions we hear.

🚶 More than 1 in 3 people aged 65 and over experience a fall each year.

While the risk of falls can increase with age, many falls are preventable through the right support, exercise, home modifications, mobility strategies, and early intervention.

This is why allied health professionals, carers, families, and support networks all play an important role in helping people stay safe, active, and independent for longer.

Sometimes, small changes can make a significant difference. Because ageing should not automatically mean losing confidence in everyday life. 💙

Here’s a small glimpse into what a day at Living Strength Care can look like.

The planning before a visit. The conversations between team members. The problem-solving, preparation, and support that happen behind the scenes each day.

While much of our work happens out in the community, there’s also a dedicated team working together to ensure every person receives the support they need to live more independently and confidently.

We genuinely love what we do, and we’re grateful to be part of so many meaningful journeys. ✨

Healthcare is teamwork and we love what we do. 💙

Big changes are coming to the NDIS planning process from mid-2026.

The NDIA is gradually introducing a new way of planning designed to make NDIS plans fairer, more consistent, and easier to understand.

Some of the proposed changes include:
✔️ Support Needs Assessments
✔️ Simpler and more flexible budgets
✔️ Longer plan periods for some participants
✔️ Reduced reliance on costly reports

For now, participants do not need to take any action. Current plans will remain in place until individuals are transitioned to the new planning framework, and the NDIA has confirmed that participants will be informed before any changes affect them.

Understanding upcoming changes can help participants, families, and providers feel more prepared and informed as the NDIS continues to evolve.

Our team is here to help you better understand your options, prepare for planning conversations, and navigate your NDIS journey with confidence.
