Veteran Mentors Veteran Mentors are ex-servicemen and women helping the families and communities of Australia.

Veteran Mentors are a group of ex-servicemen and women who share a common goal in helping the families and communities of Australia. Throughout their respective military careers, the Veteran Mentors have learned and implemented many effective strategies in achieving success in the most challenging environments. These strategies and skills include mental and physical resilience, effective communica

tion, conflict resolution and fear/stress management. With their military background and armed with the lessons derived from operational deployments, the Veteran Mentors have developed a 9-day intensive program for high school teenagers aged 12-17 years old, that is designed to enhance the lives of all participants by providing them with the tools they need to achieve success at any given task. These skills are taught and tested in a way so that the students can successfully implement them into their lives after the program has finished.
