Next week we will be delivering the pilot of our new Operation Restoring the Home Front program at beautiful Rainbow Bay on the Gold Coast.
Over five days, seven veteran couples will come together for a peer-led retreat designed to recognise the unique impact that military service, transition, trauma, and moral injury can have on relationships.
It is an opportunity for couples to pause, reconnect, communicate, reflect, and spend intentional time together away from the pressures of everyday life.
Throughout the retreat, couples will participate in practical activities, guided conversations, shared experiences, and relaxed group connection opportunities designed to strengthen relationships and foster hope for the future.
We are incredibly grateful to St George's Defence Holiday Suites and Anzac Day Trust for supporting this inaugural pilot.
Strong families build strong communities, and we believe that investing in veteran relationships is an important part of supporting long-term wellbeing and recovery.

📣📣📣 We are excited to announce our next Operation Restore – Trauma Recovery After Disaster & Crisis Online Program 📣📣📣

Have you been impacted by a natural disaster, crisis, traumatic event, or the ongoing stress of supporting others through difficult circumstances?

This 3-day online program is designed for individuals, families, first responders, volunteers, carers, and community members affected by trauma, disasters, and crisis events.

Delivered by trained peers with lived experience, Operation Restore provides practical tools to help participants understand trauma, process their experiences, rebuild resilience, and take meaningful steps toward recovery in a supportive group environment.

📅 Dates: 26–28 August 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm daily (AEST)
💻 Location: Online via Zoom

When people share their stories honestly, something powerful happens. Community is built. Empathy grows. Others realise they are not alone. Pain begins to find purpose.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer another person is simply the courage to tell our story, because our survival may become someone else’s hope.

As Maya Angelou once said: “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” For thousands of years, stories were how wisdom was passed down. Stories taught identity, culture, survival, resilience, and belonging. They honoured what had been lost while helping others find hope for what could still be rebuilt.

No two stories are ever the same. We want to take this opportunity to honour your stories. The stories of this community. If you feel safe to do so, we would like to give you an opportunity to share your story below.
