After more than 55 years as Friends of the Arts Foundation, we're excited to share that we've officially begun a new chapter as the Arts Gold Coast Foundation.

First and foremost, thank you. 🙏

To our members, supporters, volunteers, donors, artists, and community partners – thank you for helping us build a legacy of supporting young and emerging artists on the Gold Coast. Every grant awarded, every event attended, and every artist encouraged has been possible because of you.

While our name is changing, our commitment to the arts remains as strong as ever.

The Arts Gold Coast Foundation will build on everything that Friends of the Arts has achieved, while creating new opportunities to support artists, strengthen creative pathways, and invest in the future of the arts across our city.

This page will continue to celebrate the wonderful history of Friends of the Arts, but we'd love you to join us as we take the next step.

Supporting events like the Women in Film Lunch at the Gold Coast Film Festival is exactly why we do what we do.

It was wonderful to see Friends of the Arts Foundation supporters and committee members coming together to celebrate the incredible women shaping the screen industry and to support a festival that continues to champion creativity here on the Gold Coast.

Having the opportunity to work alongside festivals and organisations that promote and nurture the arts in our city sits at the very core of our mission.

🎬 Congratulations to our 2026 EMERGE! Winner 🎬

We’re proud to congratulate Oliver Sendall and crew on winning Best EMERGE! Student Short Film for PAPPOULI.

Presented at the EMERGE! Student Short Film Gala as part of the Gold Coast Film Festival, this award celebrates the very best of emerging filmmaking talent across South East Queensland. PAPPOULI is a brilliant example of the creativity and storytelling coming through our next generation.

As proud prize sponsors, we love being part of an event that gives young filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work on the big screen. Congratulations to all finalists and participating schools! The future of film is in very good hands.
