GREENHEART ROBINA PARKLANDS parkrun – EVENT #26

What a spooktastic morning at Greenheart Robina Parklands parkrun! No rain, a bit of humidity and a scary banana to keep all the ghouls away 😁

This week, 134 people ran, jogged and walked the course, including 40 navigating our course for the first time of which 3 commenced their parkrun journey today with their first ever parkrun.

We also celebrated 13 new personal bests—congratulations to everyone who achieved one! 🎉

To the person who came 80th today, we noticed you didn’t scan your barcode and we think you may have accidentally taken the token as a souvenir. We’d love for you to come back next week, with the token and hopefully score a PB.

To all our tourists that joined us today including our International guest from Taupo- we hope you enjoyed the course.

Special mention to everyone who dressed up for Halloween today including Peter Parker (dressed as Spiderman), our Wonderwomen, scarey banana, devils and zombies.

Our volunteer roster is looking a little bare over the next few weeks, we’d love for you to join our team of volunteer superheroes. A volunteer credit still counts for the parkrun obsessive challenge, so if you’ve not volunteered before or of you’ve volunteered 500 times before (and everyone in between) please consider making November your Voluntember month.

Spooky season terms and conditions.

Prepare your scares for the turn-around marshal instead please. They have traded in their greatsword for a camera on this momentous occasion, and will be terribly put-out if no one tries to scare them.

With any luck, your boo's will be even scarier than this graphic design... the gremlin responsible will be promptly fired.

Thunder and lightning is very very frightening, but more so is this roster! Please let us know if you can help out for parkoween.

We do not wish to diminish the experience of those who struggle with storms, especially the canine companions who are want to use dad's new couch as a chew toy. Ironically, (to dad anyway) this is meant as stress release.

The best for of stress release of course is getting along to parkrun! It also means that barkrunners are removed to a safe distance from new couches for at least an hour.
