VICKI’s STORY: On the 13th March 2022, Vicki (my sister) lost her battle with Bladder Cancer at the age of 53. While in Palliative Care in quickly became obvious that there was plenty of support when it comes to the quality of nursing. I have also managed to get several corporates on board to donate product such as Lucas Paw Paw, Zen Herbal Ointment and local Gold Coast businesses. The goal is to make the final days of peoples lives as beautiful as they can be. Whether its sharing their final quality tea and a nice biscuit with their loved ones. Being washed with anything other than the cheap and nasty wall dispensed soap. A beautiful smell. Some moisturiser on their dry skin…..anything the hospital unfortunately doesn’t provide. I am currently making 100 Love Packs that will be distributed at Robina Hospital Palliative Care ward in June. Plus the goal is to provide some extra ‘luxury’s’ such as a Tea & Coffee bar with a lovely selection, and cookies of course! Patients and their loved ones can enjoy a quality refreshment, as it may be their last.
