A once-in-a-generation opportunity for our community. 💜

Today, we are proud to introduce the Circle of Care.

The Circle of Care is a community giving collective, designed to make giving impactful, meaningful and shared.

The Barwon Women’s and Children’s is Geelong’s largest-ever health infrastructure project - a more than $500 million investment by the Victorian Government that will enhance care for women, children, and families across our region, for generations to come. It is underconstruction right now.

The Barwon Health Foundation has proudly committed to a multimillion dollar fundraising effort to complement this major government investment, funding the additional elements that will come to life only through philanthropic generosity.

Through joining the Circle of Care, you can be part of this moment, contributing to the future of women’s and children’s healthcare across our region.

Every gift made before June 30 is tax deductible.

Your go-to coffee order in Geelong… go! ☕️

We asked some of the supporters behind our Gala Ball, and let’s just say people are very committed to their regular order.

Almond milk latte. Extra hot oat chai. Long black only. And a strong case for an award-winning pie.

Last week, we celebrated the incredible volunteers who support our Foundation and Barwon Health at the Volunteer Week Breakfast at GMHBA Stadium

❤️
We were also proud to announce a second $100,000 contribution to Barwon Health’s Volunteer Transport Service, bringing the support from our community to more than $200,000 over the last two years.

A heartfelt congratulations to all of the volunteers who were recognised through years or service and life membership awards - it was an honour for some of our team to be there to celebrate these milestones with you.

Today, we are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a true legend, Neale Daniher AO.

We honour Neale’s extraordinary legacy and the profound impact his advocacy through FightMND and the Big Freeze has had on so many lives across Australia - including here in our own community.

Through Neale’s inspirational leadership, and the community’s support of FightMND, the Barwon Health Foundation has been privileged to receive funding that has helped support local people and families navigating their own experience with MND. To date, Fight MND has contributed over $147,000 towards advancing care, support and services for people living with MND across our region.

A true hero in every sense of the word - Neale’s legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

~Legacy is built through people, purpose and community ~

Last week, the Barwon Health Foundation Board and leadership team came together to shape our new five-year strategy, reflecting on where we’ve come from, the impact we’re making today, and the future we want to help create for generations to come.

With powerful insights from Life Governor Robert Costa, the conversation reinforced a shared commitment to ensuring exceptional healthcare remains close to home for our region, now, and into the future.

This next chapter is about more than strategy. It’s about creating a lasting legacy for Geelong and the Barwon South West community through philanthropy, innovation, advocacy and care.
