Winter sunshine, warm drinks and good company ☕️

There was something special about today's coffee catch-up.

The conversation flowed easily, stories were shared, and there were plenty of moments that reminded us why these spaces matter.

Not every conversation has to be deep or life-changing. Sometimes the most powerful thing is hearing someone say, "Oh, thank goodness, it's not just me."

Connection can look different every time. Today it looked like a group of parents taking a moment to slow down, chat, laugh and leave feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.

Thanks to everyone who joined us 🤍

Not everything needs to be productive to be meaningful ☕

This is your monthly reminder that sitting with a coffee and other parents who just get it counts too.

One thing I've loved this month is getting to meet some incredible founders and community leaders right here in our region.

People who have seen a need, taken a chance on an idea, and worked hard to create something that makes a difference for others.

As someone building Parent Thread, those conversations have been incredibly inspiring. They've reminded me how much passion, generosity and quiet determination exists within our local community.

It's easy to focus on the challenges of starting something new, but spending time with other founders has reminded me that meaningful change often starts small, with people who care enough to take the first step.

I'm feeling grateful for the connections I've made and excited about what we're building together here.

A little glimpse into this week’s Bloom & Connect.

We loved having Zeynap from Snuggle Gully join us to share practical babywearing safety tips, answer questions, and help demystify all the wraps and carriers out there.

It means so much when local experts generously give their time to support our expectant mums and help build confidence before baby arrives ✨

So many parents are carrying more than anyone can see.

This recent research doesn’t just highlight exhaustion, it reflects the invisible emotional load so many families are navigating every day.

And maybe the answer isn’t having all the solutions. Maybe it starts with feeling supported, understood, and less alone.

That’s the heart behind Parent Thread.

Social connection is often built in the smallest moments, over coffee, shared experiences, and feeling welcomed into a space where you can be yourself.

This week, Parent Thread hosted a Mother’s Day Coffee Catch-Up for local mothers and caregivers, creating space for connection, conversation, and community.

Not all Mother’s Days look the same… whatever today holds, you’re showing up

Despite the cold and rainy weather, so many people came along, a reminder of how important these opportunities for connection really are.

A big thank you to the local businesses, sponsors, and community supporters who helped make the event possible.

When community shows up, beautiful things happen!

Yesterdays Mother’s Day Coffee Catch Up was such a special reminder of what can happen when local people and businesses come together to create spaces where parents feel welcomed, supported, and a little less alone.

What started as “just a coffee catch up” became conversations between strangers, babies passed between arms, toddlers playing together, and so many moments of genuine connection.

We’re so grateful to the incredible local businesses who helped make the morning possible through sponsorship, prizes, and thoughtful contributions.

If you can, go give these beautiful local businesses a follow and some love. Supporting the people who support community really does matter.

People showed up to a rainy coffee catch up for mums.

Not because the weather was good.
Not because it was fancy.
Not because they already knew each other.

They came because making friends as an adult is hard.
Because parenting can feel lonely.
Because sometimes all it takes is one person saying “come sit with us.”

And honestly? Watching strangers become friends in a cold, windy marquee was one of the best reminders that community still matters.

People are craving connection.
Real connection.
More than ever.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, brought a friend, started a conversation or helped create such a warm space on a grey day 🤍

And thank you to the beautiful local businesses and sponsors who helped make it possible.

Community like this is built together.

This is your reminder to go anyway. Message the mum. Go to the thing. Start the conversation.

Because we were never meant to do this alone.

I made the Bloom Box because I kept thinking about how often people ask new and expecting mums, “What do you need?”… while also knowing how hard it can be to answer that honestly.

Sometimes what people really need is to feel thought about. Seen. Held in small ways.

So this box is a collection of simple, beautiful things designed to create a small pause in the middle of a season that can feel overwhelming, isolating, and all-consuming at times.

It’s for the mum who’s expecting.
The mum in the thick of it.
The friend you’ve been meaning to check in on.
Or even yourself 🤍

Each Bloom Box is $79 + postage, with every purchase helping support the work we do at Parent Thread to create more opportunities for connection and support for parents.

So grateful to the beautiful local makers and small businesses who helped bring this together:
