Karrayili Community Resource Centre, AKA Karrayili Community Hub, is a welcoming space for the Fitzroy Valley.

The Hub brings together services, training, meetings and activities, providing a place to connect and access support.

📢 AustralianSuper is coming to the Fitzroy Valley!

Need help with your super? The AustralianSuper team will be visiting communities across the Fitzroy Valley this October to answer your questions and provide support.

📍 Wangkatjungka: Monday 19 October
📍 Bayulu: Tuesday 20 October
📍 Karrayili Community Hub: Wednesday 21 October
📍 Yungngora: Thursday 22 October
📍 Yakanarra: Friday 23 October
🕘 9am to 4pm at each location

Bring your ID and drop in for a yarn with the AustralianSuper team. Free lunch will also be available for the community at each visit.

📢 Want to learn more about the NDIS?

The NDIA team is coming to Fitzroy Crossing, Wangkatjungka and Yiyili this October!

Come along for a yarn, ask questions and find out more about how the NDIS works, eligibility, how to apply and how to use your NDIS plan.

📍 Fitzroy Crossing: Tuesday 20 October, 9am to 2pm at Karrayili Community Hub
📍 Wangkatjungka: Wednesday 21 October, 10am to 2pm at Wangkatjungka Community Hall
📍 Yiyili: Thursday 22 October, 10am to 2pm at Yiyili Community Office

A few weeks ago, a group of women came together at Karrayili to talk about the importance of caring for and protecting the Martuwarra River.

Diane, one of the women who helped organise the gathering, took the time to answer a few questions and share why the river is so important. She also spoke about the knowledge passed down through generations, including the use of bush medicines and the strong connection between people, Country and culture.

The Martuwarra River is a special place that supports communities, culture, wildlife and traditional ways of life. It is a place where people gather, learn, fish, heal and spend time with family.

A big thank you to Divina D’Anna for visiting Karrayili to present the Lotterywest grant certificate! 🎉

This funding will help support upgrades to the building and create an even better space for the community.

A great day at Bayulu last week! 🍖

Community came together for a BBQ and a chance to connect with local support services, including NDIS RCC, Financial Counselling and the ECU Tax Clinic.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it a great day! 👏

Last week, local women came together at Karrayili to meet with external businesses and discuss the importance of caring for Country.

The conversation focused on preserving the land, waterways, fish and native plants that are vital to communities across the Fitzroy Valley. It was an opportunity to share local perspectives on how business activities can affect the environment and the way people live, work and connect with Country.

These discussions help ensure local voices are heard while creating space for community members to share their experience, cultural knowledge and deep connection to Country, passing on the importance of caring for the land for future generations.
