🦅 Help Protect Our Birds – Know What to Do if You See Sick or Dead Wild Birds

Bird flu (avian influenza) has recently been detected in Australia, and everyone can help protect our wildlife and communities by staying alert.

If you come across a sick, injured or dead wild bird, please remember these simple steps:

🚫 AVOID touching or handling the bird.

📸 RECORD the:
• Time
• Date
• Location
• Take a photo if it is safe to do so.

📞 REPORT it to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888, or let a ranger, veterinarian or another trusted adult know.

Early reporting helps protect our native birds, wildlife and Country.
