Hello Mangkaja friends and family! We are getting ready for our Mid-Year sale.

Starting Thursday 18th, next week we will be having our mid year sale in the studio at Mangkaja Arts in Fitzroy Crossing as well as online running all the way through to the end of June.

20% off all artwork, artefacts and merchandise with greater discounts on selected works at the studio. Visit us to find something special for yourself or a loved one this month.

Congratulations John Prince Siddon!

‘Everyone Coming Together’ - Sydney.
After much hard work, Prince has created a beautiful show as part of the Sydney Biennale at the White Bay Power Station.

We would like to thank and for selecting and working with Prince and Mangkaja. for the commissioning of the project. team for much logistical work, making sure both the artwork and Prince made it to Sydney.
for her ongoing work with Prince and Mangkaja, to ensure his support in the studio (and the many calls and texts when not)

Big shout out to travel buddy and Mangkaja artist who’s own work is exhibiting at White Bay Power Station also.

These projects take a dedicated team ‘coming together and mix em up’ to achieve. From all the Mangkaja team in Fitzroy crossing, NDIS support in Broome, Emilia down in Perth to everyone in Sydney and beyond. Thank you mob, see you soon Sydney 😉

Mangkaja would like to thank long time gallery supporter, Gabriella Roy and her team from for hosting us this morning.

Senior men from the Ngurrara Canvas board met to see the stunning work of Ms Kurarra currently on display. In particular Jermaine Muller, family for Ms Kurarra, was in attendance to share in the enduring legacy of the incredible artist.

The work will remain on display to the 28th of March. Be sure to visit the APA Gallery in Waterloo, Sydney to see the details and beauty of the mighty Martuwarra!

Mangkaja was very fortunate to hear from Terry Murray and the families for the Ngurrara Canvas speak this morning at the Art Gallery of New South Wales during the Benefactor Tour for the 2026 Sydney Biennale.

Mangkaja Artists have a strong family connections to the critically important Ngurrara Canvas and the Yanunijarra Aboriginal Corporation which oversees this priceless document.

It has been 3 years since the canvas was saved from flood waters that damaged Mangkaja in Fitzroy Crossing. It was powerful to witness the strength of the family to share the enduring legacy of the rain-maker story, bringing it to Sydney for the first time.

Despite the rain, Mangkaja Arts studio is up and running as we get ready for a new year!
Mangkaja means ‘wet weather shelter’ in Walmajarri language and at this time of year it is the perfect place to stay dry and have a tea in our calm, colourful studio.
