🏉 Thanks to the generosity of the Port Adelaide Football Club, a number of our dedicated carers and the children and young people they support were able to enjoy a fantastic day at the footy a few weekends ago. 🖤🤍💙

Our carers make a meaningful difference every day, providing support, encouragement and connection to the people in their care. Opportunities like this offer a chance to relax, have fun and create lasting memories together.

One of our carers shared “Thank you for providing those tickets to us, we had an amazing night. Our little person was extremely excited to catch the train, get a chicken snitty for dinner, and sing “Never Tear Us Apart” before the game. We have a new Port fan on our hands, he asked if we could go again next week!”.

From cheering on the Power to enjoying the atmosphere and spending quality time together, the day was filled with excitement, laughter and community spirit. We are incredibly grateful to Port Adelaide Football Club for making this experience possible and for recognising the important role carers play in our community.

Our Foster Care program came together with other Centacare programs at the AFSS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s day event on Friday the 7th August. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s day is an event celebrating the strengths, culture and potential of Aboriginal children. The 2026 theme is ‘living our truth’ and is about celebrating the voices, stories and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities. It was a wonderful day of connection, many enjoyed the sunshine and had a go at rock climbing, while inside jumping castles, facepainting and hair braiding were incredibly popular. Our Centacare staff were busy with rock painting and headband making. Izzy, Aboriginal Cultural Practitioner reflected, “I really enjoyed the event, watching all the young aboriginal kids smiling and having fun.”

🖤💛❤️ It’s NAIDOC Week! ❤️💛🖤
This year marks a significant milestone – 50 years of NAIDOC Week, celebrating the enduring strength, resilience, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are proud to stand alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and support opportunities that foster connection, cultural understanding and community celebration throughout the week.

We're especially excited to be part of a special NAIDOC Week event at Ngani Pari-Arra Cultural Centre, bringing people together to celebrate culture, community and this important anniversary. While you're there, explore Kumangka Purka – Gathering of Elders, a beautiful exhibition featuring artwork, weaving and crafts created by Elders connected to Ngani Pari-Arra.

For six years, Orange Tree Quilters have been stitching kindness into every quilt, bringing comfort to children and families in our Foster Care Program. 💛
