Term 2 Week 8:

What another fun and busy week it's been!
Cubs: The Cubs got camp-ready by packing the trailer and making sure they had everything they needed. They also put their planning skills to work by creating the menu for their upcoming camp.

Venturers:The Venturers enjoyed some campfire cooking, whipping up baked potatoes and delicious chocolate cakes cooked inside oranges. From all reports, they were a huge success!

Scouts:The Scouts continued their word hunt challenge, exploring the local area in search of signs and clues to create words.

Weekend Adventures:Our Cubs headed out to Numinbah for an action-packed camp where they: Went on a hike thank-you Possum for your assistance, Built shelters, Practised their pioneering skills, and Constructed a raft

Leader Development:Waroo (Leader) Turtle (Venturer) travelled to Bribie Island to work towards their SP and TP Pioneering qualifications. Term 2 Week 7:

Another great week across our sections!

Cubs: The Cubs put their engineering skills to the test by building a life-sized Leonardo da Vinci bridge! After practising the design with paddle pop sticks last term, they were excited to see if they could scale it up—and they succeeded. A fantastic hands-on challenge that showcased teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance.
We finished the night with two cubs presenting SIA projects they been working on.

Venturers: Venturers spent the first part of the night discussing and planning upcoming events before heading outside for a few games of Kubb. After several rounds of Venturers vs Venturers, the competition stepped up to Venturers vs Leaders—with the Venturers taking the win! The evening finished with a State of Origin-inspired Queensland vs NSW showdown. Queensland claimed victory in a best-of-three series, although NSW insists they generously let Queensland win so they could take home at least one trophy this year! A great night was had by all.

Scouts:Scouts started the evening by reflecting on and reviewing their camp from last weekend. They then focused on map-reading skills, working with maps and practising how to identify and use latitude and longitude coordinates.
