Electro Careers & Apprenticeships is a GTO dedicated to the electrotechnology industry.

Electro Careers & Apprenticeships (Electro CA), formerly known as NECA Careers & Apprenticeships (NCA), was established by the peak industry body, the National Electrical and Communications Association's South Australia/Northern Territory branch (NECA SA/NT). Electro CA is dedicated to the electrotechnology industry and is committed to providing the right people to fulfil the skills needs of today

and for the future. Electro CA employs apprentices and trainees in electrical, refrigeration and air-conditioning, data and communications, and office administration and host them out to contractors in our trade sectors. We are determined to train our apprentices to be skilled and well-rounded in all facets of their trade to ensure a bright future for our industry. We had seven fabulous apprentices (only four are pictured) commence this month who have been hosted out to six amazing host employers!

Last week, Electro Careers & Apprenticeships (Electro CA) was pleased to attend the St Patrick's Technical College Pathways to Industry Expo.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with students, families, and members of the wider community who are exploring future career options in vocational education, skilled trades, and apprenticeships. 👷🏼👷🏽

Our team enjoyed speaking with attendees about the many opportunities available within the electrotechnology industry and providing guidance on how to start the journey towards becoming an electrical apprentice. 🛠️🦺

Thank you to St Patrick’s Technical College for hosting such a valuable event and for helping strengthen the connection between education and industry. We look forward to continuing to support the next generation of skilled tradespeople. 😃🌟

A couple of weeks ago, Electro Careers & Apprenticeships (Electro CA) was proud to attend the Thebarton Senior College Career & Agency Expo.

The expo provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with students and discuss the pathways available within the electrotechnology industry. Our team enjoyed sharing information about electrical apprenticeships and business traineeships, wider industry opportunities, and the steps involved in building a rewarding career as a tradie. 🦺🔧🚧

Events like these play an important role in helping young people make informed decisions about their future, and we are always excited to showcase the diverse opportunities available within our industry.

Better late than never right! ⏰ 😅

A few weeks ago, we attended the Barossa and Berri instalments of the 2026 NECA SA/NT Roadshow Seminar Series, which were held at the Vine Inn Barossa and the Berri Hotel, respectively. 🍇🍃 🍊

It was brilliant to catch up with so many sparkies across the two locations, and even better to see some of our apprentices and host employers as well! 👷🏾👷‍♂️

It's the weekend and it's also time for the April apprentice completions! 👏🥳🍻

A huge congratulations goes to the three apprentices who completed their apprenticeships with Electro Careers & Apprenticeships (Electro CA) in April! 🤩

- Tomas Jackson who completed his apprenticeship on 16 April 2026 and was hosted by SKS Technologies
- William Holloway who completed his apprenticeship on 1 April 2026 and was hosted by Nexphase Electrical Pty Ltd
- William McKay who completed his apprenticeship on 10 April 2026 and was hosted by Australia Post

They have all gained employment with their host employers, which is amazing news! 🎉
