2026 WGE Wrap-Up - What a Fortnight for Australian Women's Disc Golf!
The 2026 PDGA Women's Global Event has wrapped and Australia showed up in a big way! Across 7 events and 108 women and their supporters on the course from coast to coast, we were well and truly represented on the world stage. See how everyone stacked up here: https://www.pdga.com/women/global-event/results/2026
🏆 Division Highlights Huge congratulations to Charlotte Davies who took out 1st place globally in FJ15, what a result!
Strong showings all round with top 10 finishes to Mia Daniels (FJ08), Sue Summers (FP55), Gail P. Lynch (FA70), Skye Metherell (FA4), Dotty Zscherpel (FJ10) & Lily Fewster (FJ10), and top 20s to Cassie Sweeten (FPO40), Lacy Lewis (FJ18), Jennifer Lim (FJ15) & Miley Nicholson (FJ12).
🦘 Top Aussies Overall Leading the charge for Australia was Leah Manning with a global score of 915.8, followed closely by fellow Australian team member Kirsty Murray at 915.2. Two teammates, two powerhouse performances representing Australia.
📍 Biggest Aussie Event A special mention to TD Clare Hussey whose Geelong event WGE 2026: Right Up Your Alley at Barwon Valley drew 33 competitors to their all-female event, just one shy of the all-time Australian WGE record of 34. So close, Huss! An incredible effort all the same.
This year was extra special as it coincided with 50 Years of Flight celebrating half a century in Australian disc sports. From 3 women at our first ever WGE in 2012, to the community we have today. The next chapter is being written right now.
