🏆 BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO TJFC! 🏆

We want to give a massive shoutout to Manningham Neighbourhood Watch's Partner, the incredible teams at the Templestowe Junior Football Club (TJFC) for their amazing efforts representing Manningham over in Tasmania for the third instalment of the Docker Cup in March 2026! ✈️🏉

As seen in the 'Manningham Matter June 2026' edition, the purple and white pride was shining incredibly bright. 💜🤍
Our local youth absolutely smashed it:
🌟 The TJFC Girls' team claimed another massive 20-point victory, keeping their brilliant unbeaten Docker Cup record alive!
🌟 The TJFC Boys' team fought incredibly hard, putting up a fantastic rally in the third quarter!
🌟 A special congratulations to Lenny Flight, who was named player of the match for 2026 and walked away with a signed Fremantle Dockers jumper! 🎖️

🚨 🚗 Car thieves hit Doncaster and Templestowe Lower in May 2026. In many cases, both keys were still in the possession of the vehicle owner, indicating the use of a key programmer.

🚨 Fuel theft🚨
In April 2026 there was an incident of fuel being siphoned from a vehicle. Car owners need to be particularly vigilant as fuel prices increase.
👮 Tip: When you are out and about at night, park your car in a busy, well-lit street.

🚨 Theft from Motor Vehicles in April 2026 🚨
This crime is still an issue across Melbourne including Manningham. Doncaster, Doncaster East and Bulleen were the most targeted suburbs by car thieves. Vehicle number plates are still being stolen and sometimes offenders are replacing them with other stolen plates. This makes the theft less obvious and provides the offenders more time before the plates are listed as stolen. Offenders are also accessing cars by smashing windows – this is generally when the cars have items visible inside. Other items targeted include cash, clothing and power tools.
👮 Tip: Police urge motorists to remove all personal items from their vehicles, even when the vehicle is parked for a short period.

Letterboxing accomplished! 👣☀️

What a perfect day to be out in the sunshine for our Manningham NHW Letterboxing Team on 13 May 2026! ☀️

The Team successfully delivered over 430 crime prevention pamphlets - "If They see a Chance, They will TAKE the Chance" to the local residents in Doncaster near the vicinity of Lynwood Reserve, Ruffey Lake Park, and in Lower Templestowe around Hodgson Reserve. 🏡📑

Staying proactive about community safety is what NHW do best, and it’s always a pleasure to connect with the neighbourhood while enjoying some fresh air! 🌳
