Looking for accessible online safety advice for children and young people with disability? 💡💻

Every child engages with technology differently. Our easy read resources provide practical online safety information and advice using clear language and supportive visuals.

Designed for people with low literacy, intellectual disability, cognitive disability, and others who benefit from simplified information, these resources make online safety information more accessible.

They can help young people understand online risks, make informed decisions, and feel more confident navigating technology and online spaces.

As a parent, carer or support person, you can also use the resources to talk through the information together, explore the advice and support decision making.

A busy, humid & hot Children’s Week at Playgroup House, Marrara with over 75 families attending our ‘Morning Celebration of Play’ from Monday to our final day today, Thursday.

During Children's Week, we'd like to share a little reminder about the importance of play. Play doesn't always need a purpose, a plan or a learning outcome. Sometimes, it's simply about the joy of exploring, discovering and having fun (credit: Playgroup Australia).

A heartfelt thank you to our regular families for making playgroup a welcoming space, especially for our new families that joined for the first time.

It's Children's Week, and we'd like to share a little reminder about the importance of play.

Play doesn't always need a purpose, a plan or a learning outcome. Sometimes, it's simply about the joy of exploring, discovering and having fun. A child spending ten minutes tipping water between two cups isn't wasting time. They're doing exactly what children should be doing — playing!

There's often so much pressure to make every moment count, to encourage learning and development, and to keep little ones busy with meaningful activities. But play is meaningful all on its own.

This Children's Week, here's a gentle reminder: slow down, follow your child's lead and let them explore at their own pace.
Sometimes, the most wonderful moments happen when we simply let children play.
