📚✨ **Book Week at Playgroup!** ✨📚

This week at Playgroup, we are celebrating **Book Week** with lots of fun and engaging activities focused on reading, being social, and enjoying the wonderful world of language and literature. ❤️📖

Today, the children had lots of fun exploring and playing with books, dressing up as their favourite characters and enjoying stories together.

Families were encouraged to share a story with their children, helping to build language, imagination, early literacy skills and, most importantly, creating special moments of connection together. 🥰

It was wonderful to see the children so excited about books, stories and dressing up. There were lots of smiles, conversations and opportunities for learning through play! 🌟📚

And a big thank you to M for reading 'Where is the Green Sheep' story at group time. He did an amazing job. 👏
We had a lot of green sheep bleating in the back ground. 💚🐑

Teddy Bear Picnic Day is an event celebrated annually in Australia, Canada, the United States, and parts of Europe.
It encourages children and families to take their favorite teddy bears outdoors or indoors for a playful picnic, inspired by the classic novelty song "The Teddy Bears' Picnic"

This year, City of Darwin are holding the Teddy Bears Picnic on The Esplanade, Sunday 9th August, 9am - 12pm.
