Finding loving homes for greyhounds across the Northern Territory when they are ready to turn into couch-potatoes! Greyhounds make great pets! ADOPT. FOSTER.

Our foster and adoption program supports the rehoming of Darwin greyhounds when they are ready to transition to the pet life! Our organisation is run by volunteers who are dedicated to promoting greyhounds as wonderful pets! Because we do not operate a shelter or kennel, we rely on the generosity of foster-carers who open their homes to these beautiful creatures. All greyhounds adopted through GRANT are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. These costs are already included within our very reasonable adoption-fee. VOLUNTEER!

Our monthly greyhound walk is this Sunday! Meet us at 5pm at the Nightcliff Pool carpark for a stroll down the foreshore 🐾

We wont be heading onto the beach this time because NT Health issued a warning this week about the algae in the water which can affect our gorgeous greyhounds.

Happy International Black Dog Day! Aaron is still looking for his forever home. He is a very sweet and chilled out boy who will make a great family pet. Send us a message if you would like to meet him - he certainly would like to meet you.

For anyone needing a little inspiration, meet Hei-Wa. For a dog who has obviously been through so much he sure does have a big heart and the personality to match. He loves getting around in his little chariot and he does not let his physical limitations stop him from enjoying life. Warning - if you follow Galgos del Sol you may get hooked on watching Hei-Wa videos and find yourself ordering some of his merch....

Thanks for joining us at this year's Great Global Greyhound Walk. The tide was high, the wind was blowing, but the hounds had a blast! We had 36 dogs in total which is a new record for us 🥳🐾

It is with great sadness that we announce our beautiful Bernie passed away on Monday night and we are truly heartbroken. Bernie was the sweetest and gentlest mascot for GRANT and we are going to miss him dearly. We know how much Bernie loved seeing the community at all our events and getting lots of pats. And we all know how much Bernie loved chilling in the waves at our monthly greyhound walks.

Fiona would like to thank the wonderful staff at The Ark Animal Hospital, especially Dr Joel, for their kindness and compassion. Bernie was treated with the love and care he deserved right until the very end ❤️

Rest in peace beautiful Bernie 🐾

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the start of the sweat season with us. Cooling off in the waves felt extra refreshing this evening.

Our next greyhound walk will be for the Great Global Greyhound Walk on Sunday 27 September. Last year we had 35 long dogs turn out and this year we would love to beat that record!

If you need to cool down this weekend, join us for a stroll down the Foreshore and splash in the waves tomorrow evening. We meet at the Nightcliff Pool carpark at 5pm.
See you there 🐾
