Amber NT Providing free support to anyone impacted by the loss of a child, from conception to 18

Amber NT - Beside You in Grief provides FREE support to parents, families and the community who experience the unexpected death of a baby or child from conception up to the age of 18 years. The loss of a child could be from miscarriage, stillbirth, termination, sudden illness, accident (car, drowning, fire), youth su***de or SUDI (SIDS). As a not for profit organisation all money raised by Amber N

T remains in the Northern Territory. Amber NT relies on the generous support from the Northern Territory community to continue to provide our services. You can help us by:

🔸 Volunteering (fundraising events, Becoming a Parent Supporter and assisting bereaved families)
🔸 Making a one off or regular donation (all donations over $2 are tax deductible)
🔸 Donating goods or services (office consumables, items towards our wish list, items to be auctioned to raise money - all money saved enables greater resources to be placed into bereavement services)
🔸 Hosting your own fundraising event with Amber NT the benefiting charity
🔸 Spreading the word that Amber NT support families through miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden illness, accident, youth su***de and SIDS. The Amber NT - Beside You in Grief's office is located at Harry's Place, Tiwi. At this location we have a bereavement room, library resources and a tree of life for parents, siblings and friends.

🚗 Amber NT Memorial Car Drive – What a Beautiful Day of Remembrance 💙

Our 2026 Memorial Car Drive has officially wrapped up. While numbers were slightly lower this year, we know many families and supporters are navigating challenging times, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us on Sunday 31st May to honour and remember the babies and children who are forever held in our hearts.

This special event began as the vision of our former Vice Chair, Joost, in memory of his son Finn. Joost wanted to create a day that celebrated Finn’s life, brought people together, and raised vital funds to support other families experiencing the heartbreak of child loss.

If you look closely through the photos, you’ll spot Finn the Crocodile — Amber NT’s mascot — and his signature dragonfly proudly displayed on many vehicles throughout the drive. Finn even made some new friends along the way and was especially touched to see cars decorated in loving memory of precious babies and children.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mazda Darwin for their incredible support last week.

On Thursday morning, the Amber NT vehicle suddenly began spluttering and losing power. With our Memorial Car Drive taking place on Sunday, we knew we needed to get it repaired as quickly as possible. After making an urgent call to Mazda Darwin, we were advised that their workshop was fully booked on Friday, but if we could get the vehicle to them, they would do their best to help.
The car was delivered by tow truck on Thursday afternoon, and by Friday afternoon we received the call we had been hoping for – it was ready for collection. Even more generously, Mazda Darwin waived the repair costs to ensure we could get back on the road in time for the weekend's event.

This act of kindness and support meant we could continue our preparations and ensure our Memorial Car Drive went ahead as planned.

Thank you, Mazda Darwin, for your generosity and community spirit. It is support like this from local businesses that helps Amber NT continue providing care, connection and support to Territorians impacted by the loss of a baby or child.

A huge thank you to Josh, Rick and the entire All Ford Day 2026 organising team for selecting Amber NT as their Charity of Choice this year.

We are incredibly grateful for their support and look forward to being part of what promises to be a fantastic community event celebrating all things Ford.

Our team will be there with an information stand, and we'll also be helping to sell raffle tickets and 100 Club tickets throughout the day.

The countdown is on to our Memorial Car Drive!

We’ve been getting a few questions about what vehicles can join. ANY car, bike, or truck is welcome! Whether you have been directly impacted by the loss of a child, know someone in your circle going through it, or even just wanting to support the community this is an event for all.

It is about coming together as a community to raise awareness and much-needed funds to continue supporting bereaved families and communities across the Territory. ❤️
