That was Rob Horne's answer yesterday when Marcus Carbone asked him for one word to sum up Southern Districts.

Our guest speaker at the RRF lunch didn't arrive as a 34-Test Wallaby. He arrived as one of ours — an Oatley junior, a kid from the public school system who walked into this club at 16 and walked out onto the world stage. More than 100 games for the Waratahs. Two World Cups. A British & Irish Lions series.

That's the pathway Southern Districts provides. No private school program. No shortcuts. A local kid, a local club, and people who backed him — all the way to the gold jersey.

That's exactly what the Rebels Rugby Foundation exists to protect. Somewhere in the Shire or St George right now there's another 16-year-old who just needs the same chance.

Thank you, Rob — for the stories, the honesty, and the reminder of what this club can do. And to everyone who bought a ticket: you're part of the next kid's story.

What a day. ⛳🔴⚪️🔵

Perfect spring morning, a full field at The Ridge, bacon and egg rolls at sunrise, a 7:30 sh***un start — and every dollar raised going straight back into rugby in the South.
