It's already getting plenty of use, with parents and children enjoying it during our groups throughout the week. We really appreciate your generosity and support! 😄

Monaro Mobile Preschool is now offering additional sessions in Cooma, Jindabyne and Berridale creating more opportunities for local children to learn, grow and connect in a nurturing and welcoming environment 🌼

✨ EOI: School Readiness Holiday Program ✨

Monaro Family Support Service will be offering a School Readiness holiday program in January 2026. We would like to invite students starting Kindergarten in 2026 to join our program led by our Speech Pathologist and Therapy Assistant. At this stage, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from families across the Snowy Monaro area and will later confirm dates and locations.

The focus of this program will be increasing participation and independence in group activities and following a daily routine. The program will be designed to support the development of language, social and emotional, cognitive and early literacy skills. Children can wear their school uniforms and will be asked to bring drink bottles and morning tea.

Monaro Family Support Service Announces New Committee Leadership Following 2025 AGM

Monaro Family Support Service (MFSS) held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 3 December at 10:30am, marking an important moment of transition and growth for the organisation.

After 14 years of dedicated service on the committee - including the past five years as President - Kirsty Salvestro has stepped down from her leadership role. MFSS extends its sincere gratitude for her commitment, guidance, and significant contributions over more than a decade. Her impact has been deeply valued, and we thank her wholeheartedly for her long-standing service to the organisation and the Snowy Monaro community.

MFSS is pleased to announce the appointment of Samara Byrne as the incoming President. Samara has served on the Board for 6 years. She is a mental health professional and brings a strong understanding of the organisation, its values, and its future direction. We believe Samara is an excellent fit for the role, and we look forward to another successful year under her leadership.

We are also delighted to welcome new committee members Margaret Blake, Mary Marrapodi, and Georgie Hood, who join our continuing members Jono Forrest, Jen Brown, David Eldershaw, and Taryn Stasakova.

The year 2025 represents a period of change and growth for Monaro Family Support Service. With the continued dedication of our team, we look forward to building on our strengthened foundations and advancing our mission to support the community across the Snowy Monaro region.
